Argentina is know mostly for two things: Soccer and Meat. But it seems that due to a government restriction in beef exports in 2006, they've lost being the top beef in the world.
The reasons that the government decided to restrict the popular export are noble, they wanted to make the best of their beef more affordable to the local poor population. But that's not how exportation works, by restricting, they cut ranchers profits and didn't change the domestic price at all. Sounds like somebody messed up.
So now Argentinians not only have to deal with an embarrassing loss in
La Copa America, played on their turf, but now they've lost their pride in allegedly having the world's best beef. Even more embarrassing is the fact that now Uruguay, and tiny Paraguay export more beef than Argentina.
Fish has now become a big export from Argentina, something that was unheard of. But let's see how this all turns out, I'm sure Argentinians are scrambling to get their top spot back.
Have you had Argentinian beef? Is it really the best?[via

They all can have and eat beef, but not everyone can fish and cook fishes.
I don't like beef. I like seafood better.
It's too bad but I always like their beef.
