No Pizza Dough? No Problem!

I love pizza! Sometimes I don’t always have pizza dough on hand and sometimes I just don’t want all those carbs.
Tortillas make the ultimate thin and crispy pizza. (top)
English muffins are perfect for snacking, plus all those nooks and crannies support the sauce quite well!

Bell peppers are a super healthy and delicious way to enjoy layers of cheese and sauce.

Bread slices are actually a great pizza crust, not to mention super convenient, too.

Portabella mushroom caps are a funky and fun foundation for any kind of pizza.
Do you have any other crust options?

How about pita bread or canned biscuit dough? I've tried making little pizzas with French bread and English muffins. Yum.
I love using mushroom caps instead of crust! French bread's pretty good too...I like to toast them in the oven in thin slices with some olive oil and pepper and then top them with pizza toppings. It's a good party appetizer!
I love bread pizza. They are yummy to eat when we don't have real pizza. French bread is good for making pizza too.
@I_am_naughty@xanga - I will make you some bread pizza, dear. I know it's one of your favorites.
Bagels work really well. I've tried bread and it just comes out too soggy.
MMmm.
I like how English Muffins is what was typed, but the picture was a bagel. smh.
Actually I just today found a recipe I wanted to try for zucchini as the crust. http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/main-courses/zucchini-pizza-who-needs-crust-when-you-can-use-zucchini/
use a tomatoe half, top with cheese, and some oregano and crushed red pepper. yum!

I love mushrooms, especially portobello mushrooms. What a great idea.
Thanks for the inspiration- I have some leftover Tortilla with which I've been having troubles with deciding what to do! Now I knowww!
