What I'm Making This Weekend
Another week brings another weekend, which means only one thing: time to try out some new recipes! For this batch, I’m thinking a little bit smoky, a bit little crunchy and a whole lot sweet!

Ring of Fire Grilled ChickenI'm going to need a savory foundation for the sweetness coming later in the meal. Alton Brown's recipe seems to satisfy that need, plus it is grilled which is always a summer plus. I have one hesitation about it, though - it calls for 1 tablespoon of curry powder, a spice which I have never tried. I'm figuring that it will work with the other spices and balance out the dish. What do you think? Have you ever used curry powder?

Grilled Sweet Potatoes with Lime and Cilantro
There's nothing I love more than potatoes, except maybe sweet potatoes. Grill them, and I love them 100x more! That's why I was super siked when I came across this recipe from the BBQ Master himself, Bobby Flay.
Ingredients:
3 sweet potatoes, unpeeled
Kosher salt
2 teaspoons finely grated lime zest
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 cup canola oil
Freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
Directions:
Par cook the potatoes: Place in a pot of water and boil until fork-tender; let cool. Slice each potato lengthwise into eighths.Preheat a grill to medium or place a cast-iron grill pan medium heat. Mix 1 tablespoon salt, the lime zest and cayenne in a small bowl.
Brush the potato wedges with the oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill until golden brown on all sides (including the skin) and just cooked through, about 1 1/2 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter; immediately season with the salt mixture and sprinkle with cilantro.

Frozen Hot Chocolate (top)
I have been craving frozen hot chocolate for weeks now. I don't know if it has been the recent Dunkin Donuts commercials promoting their newest product or just my sweet tooth calling, but I just have to make it this weekend. Miss Paula Deen never disappoints with her desserts, so I am following her recipe. I am also considering buying Serendipity 3's Frrrozen Hot Chocolate Mix, around $20 at Amazon. Their version gets rave reviews all the time, so being able to make it in a flash would be sweet!
Are you planning to munch out on anything exciting this weekend?

=D I like potato wedges!
Yesterday, my boyfriend and I cooked String beans, Shrimp and whole wheat pasta with a 4-cheese sauce. Basically, the ultimate Mac n Cheese :P Tonight, we're grilling pork and making Ratatouille with a ton of different vegetables. Oh, and don't forget the fresh baguette. Love Paris <3
