Let's celebrate one of my all time favorite frozen treats! Yogurt is certainly not new to the food world, valued because of it's benefits of live active cultures. Live and active culture yogurt is an excellent source of calcium. An 8 oz. serving of low calorie non-fat yogurt provides you with half your days calcium for little calories! So treat yourself today to some frozen yogurt after all it's required on such a holiday!
I prefer my frozen yogurt with fresh fruit and a drizzle of honey. Throw on some granola or toasted nuts for a good dose of crunch! You can also make your own at frozen yogurt at home with or without an ice cream machine. Try these recipes in your own kitchen to keep your friends and family cool!
- Coconut Pinkcherry Yogurt from Smitten Kitchen
- Blueberry Frozen Yogurt with out an ice cream maker from Let Her Bake Cake
- Strawberry Frozen Yogurt from Simply Recipes
- Chocolate Frozen Yogurt from One Ordinary Day
