  • For You Pork Lovers!

What kind of Roasted Pork or “Siew Yuk” do I like?

As long as it is salty and comes with its own aromatic roasted flavor (it has to be salty, I kinda dislike siew yuk that’s not salty and tasteless), crackling yet crispy roasted skin, tender meat in between those sticky cubes of “melt-in-your-mouth” fat that will bring extra juiciness and flavor to the roast, and that’s it! It’ll instantly become my favorite piece of “Siew Yuk” if the three little criterias above are met. And imagine it with spoonful after spoonful of warm fluffy rice!

So here, I found a hidden treasure yesterday. Guess where I got those yummylicious roasted pork you’ve seen above from?

The “Village Grocer” in One Mont Kiara!

    Only RM7.00 per 100gram

Never thought that I can get such good delicacy in a Supermarket, especially those in Malaysia. I guess this definitely would be the best non-halal section I’ve ever been to. And trust me, you must LISTEN CLOSELY when they’re slicing and chopping down the big piece of roasted pork into the amount that you ordered for. Mine sounded extremely juicy it made me drool right away! Not sure whether or not this is better than the famous roasted pork in Pudu, which I personally not quite fancy because it’s not salty enough for me but I guess there’s no harm trying if you are a huge fan of pork right?
