  • Viagra Beer?: A Toast to the Royal Couple

The royal wedding is approaching, and people are increasingly talking more about everything that will involve the wedding--the guest list, the food, the gifts, and of course, William and Kate.

And while there seems to be numerous food ideas inspired by this joyous occasion, one story popped up in my feed that immediately caught my eyes: a viagra infused beer made to celebrate the royal wedding.

Royal Virility Performance, made by one of Scotland's largest brewery, BrewDog, combined herbal viagra into a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale, which were brewed at their own brewery at Fraserburgh.

They combined various kinds of well known aphrodisiacs, as well as chocolate,  Goat Weed and ‘a healthy dose of sarcasm’ (as the label reads)

The product is a limited edition--and the site claims that they only have 1,000 bottles left (so hurry if you want some!)

The drink can only be ordered from the BrewDog website.

The cost is £10 per 330ml bottle and will be shipped on the 28th of April (but in UK only)

BrewDog apparently posted a bottle to "Prince Willy, Buckingham Palace"

So, no matter how gross and strange this drink sounds, I think "royal virility performance" is a brilliant creation that could have gave the happy couple a good laugh!

What do you think about royal virility performance? What other crazy ideas have you heard about that were inspired by the royal wedding?

    Thanks for reading!

I pose questions and explore the world of food in one of the world's largest and most dynamic gastropolis. Here I explore every aspects of food to get an understanding of Culture; from culinary pratices, to current trends of food, to discovering not-yet visited restaurants, to baking, to wine, and endlessly more! Join me through my thoughts by contributing with a comment on each post. Thanks for reading! I write to you with all my heart, love, and passion for food. -Bonvivante-
