Glowing Meat, Anyone?
Have you ever seen your food glow before?
Although the idea may seem cool at the moment, you would probably not want to consume it.
In Shanghai, some pork was discovered to glow blue at night but appeared normal during the day.

Upon further investigations by health officials, it was confirmed that the pork had been contaminated by phosphorescent bacteria, but if properly cooked through, it was still safe to consume.
However, I doubt that anyone would for precautionary reasons. There were no reports of illness (or reports that we know of...) from anyone who had already consumed the pork. Hopefully they will enforce higher standards from now on to prevent further contamination from happening again!

Was this pork glowing only when it was raw, or did it still glow after being cooked?
eww i wouldn't eat it!
Irradiated Kobe Beef
HAHA weird!
yuckk! pork already has so many issues without this, I haven't eaten it in years.
Oh my god...that can't be safe
Food companies in china need more restrictions. Things just aren't clean there. There are a lot of very poor places there. I heard that there was one company in china that sold soy sauce, but they couldn't buy the important amino acid needed because it was too expensive, so they went around collecting hair and extracting the amino acid from the hair to make the soy sauce. That is what I heard. It's sad, if it's true.
Grooooosss.
they probably poured the glowstick toxic fluid on the meat to attract attention to their restaurant or wherever it was sold or displayed.
you sneaky mofos won't fool me
looks like radiation. could be cancerous. =P
I would just assume that it's bad and chunk it out!
Bwahahaha that's awesome! Glow in the dark meat? Hells yeah!
I wouldn't actually want to eat it though, but it'd be cool to look at.
Not the kind of bio-luminescence I fancy. I'll stick with my fireflies, lanternfish, and glowing microorganisms in the tide.
Cool!!! We eat microorganisms all the time. As long as it's safe after it's cooked, what's the problem?
