"Yukhoe": Korean Raw Beef Tartar Dish
There is a Korean dish, Yukhoe, that my boyfriend introduced to me last year (pictured above).
It is basically raw beef marinated with sesame oil and topped with an egg yolk. At first, I was scared to try it, but it was so delicious!!
You can try it out yourself at home with this recipe borrowed from Wikimama.
I can't really explain how it tasted, but it had a very fresh taste.
I know it probably looks gross to some of you, but would anyone want to try this delicious dish?

this! I'm kinda surprised to see no sliced pears on the dish tho..
I like sushi, so I might try it at least once.
I would give it the good old college try! Besides, I love Korean food.
YESS...<3 that you guys are featuring some authentic Korean food (we don't eat korean BBQ everday, ya know?).
Hmmm...I don't know if I'd try it. I just barely warmed up to the idea of eating raw fish (sushi). I won't say I would never try it, I'll say that I won't try it just yet.
I've been wanting to try that...
I'll try anything once, but that looks pretty daunting.
Being an English Vegetarian I'd go with NO :) Interesting though.

Raw beef, raw egg.. I'm surprised ppl don't get sick as often as they do eating this... I can't even try the raw beef they put in pho (even though the soup cooks it, it still makes me nervous)... maybe one day I'll be brave enough.

Nope. No raw meat or eggs. I can only imagine the number of parasites you'd be ingesting too.

just don't get your meat from a shitty market (US). Gotta get some real good ones..Why, WHY is it purple? Not a fan of raw beef, but I'm not usually scared of it either.

I had this made with Kobe beef in Japan. It came with a certificate of authenticity for the beef having come straight from Kobe...to this date it is still the best thing I've ever eaten.
I love Beef Tartar.
Maybe one day, but it would have to be from a reputable restraunt. On the other hand... I don't like raw wgg yolk...or egg yolk for that matter...so I'm fairly positive I wont like it.
Scary. RAW beef and raw egg? I couldn't. It's probably tasty...... but I'm psyching myself out. No merci.
