  • Weird Ice Cream Flavors

I love ice cream. I love it so much that I actually avoid eating it because I'm afraid of getting bored of it. I'd have to say my favorite flavors would be Mint Chocolate Chip or the Dulce De Leche from Haagen Daaz.

Last week my friend and I made a pact to try as many ice cream flavors as we can in a year. Being as diligent as we are, we made a list of all the flavors sold at grocery stores and flavors available at ice cream joints. Amidst all that, I stumbled upon some very unique flavors of ice cream.

    1. Wasabi Ice cream: I can barely tolerate Wasabi with Sushi so I can hardly imagine trying it in ice cream form!

    2. Chicken Wing Ice cream

    3. Raw Horseflesh Ice cream: Raw horse flesh in vanilla ice cream. Gross.

    4. Seafood Flavors: Japan has a wide variety of seafood flavors including whale, squid, squid ink, octopus, tuna fish, crab, shrimp, shark fin and eel.

    5. Vegetable Flavors: The Japanese also market vegetable-flavored ice creams including fried eggplant, corn, sweet potato and spinach.

    6. Pit Viper Ice Cream.

    7. Indian Curry Ice cream.

    8. Viagra Ice Cream: Originally created by Italian entrepreneur Franco Corradi.

    9. Caviar Ice Cream: Sold by gourmet French ice cream company, Philippe Faur, and made with 60% white sturgeon Alverta Royal Petrossian caviar.

Would you try any of these? Which ones are the most repulsive to you? Are there any that you think aren't that weird?
