Recipe: Cheddar Bay Biscuits
I have been craving Red Lobster lately and one of the reasons is because of their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. My brother and I can knock out two or three baskets of these when we go there (don't judge us!). I was looking for a recipe of these biscuits and came across Todd Wilbur's "clone recipe" for them. I haven't tried his recipe yet but I cannot wait to get all the ingredients to make the biscuits!
Ingredients (makes one dozen biscuits):
- 2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 4 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 3/4 cup cold whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Brush on top
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 pinch salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
-
Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork. Don't mix too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic. Mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix.
-
Drop approximately 1/4-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop.
-
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.
-
When you take the biscuits out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small bowl in your microwave. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes. Use a brush to spread this garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits. Use up all of the butter.

Are you a fan of Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits? Will you be trying this recipe?

Will definitely be trying this. They're the only things I like about Red Lobster.

The biscuits sound good, even if I'm not a regular at Red Lobster.
God, I love those biscuits! It's pretty much the only reason I go there! Thanks so much! I will definitely be trying this in the nearby future.
It works! My mom has had this recipe for years and they are SO GOOD.
I LOVE these! I'm totally going to try them!!!
I've worked at Red Lobster for the past year and when I first started thought to myself, "Man, this job is going to make me HATE these biscuits." NOPE! Wrong. They're still delicious. Sometimes if you don't brush the garlic on top and just have them with butter, they're just as good.
We rarely visit Red Lobster but when we do we eat lots of these delicious biscuits. I think I need to try this recipe!
I don't really fancy cheddar taste.

im not a fan of biscuits but man the garlic, butter and parsley brushing on top sounds so delicious
