Hi, My Name is Ali and I'm Addicted To Garlic.
Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. Every snack and odd meal in between. Doesn't matter what food it is - it's that much better with a dose of garlic.
I may eat garlic roughly 4-5 times a day, but is that a problem? I'm going to have to say no. What's wrong with indulging in your favorite flavor?
There is just something about that punch garlic has that keeps me coming back for more. If I go a day without that delicious taste in my mouth I feel lost. If a recipe calls for garlic, I'm likely to almost double what it calls for. If I ever cook a meal for you, look forward to garlic being a key ingredient!
Of course I consume garlic in a number of different dishes, but there are some that hold a special place in my heart:
- Breakfast - sunny side up egg with garlic, salt, pepper, and hot sauce
- Lunch - grilled provolone and parmesan cheese with garlic, rosemary, and a dash of ranch dressing
- Dinner - steak cooked to medium rare with half cloves of garlic throughout, a bit of salt and pepper, creamy garlic mashed potatoes on the side
- Snack - garlic bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese
My obsession with garlic has become so large that I actually plan on getting a garlic tattoo! Call me crazy, but it's happening.
What's your food addiction? Do you view it as a problem or just an obsession?

Garlic is a healthy addiction. lots of good comes from it. I use to be addicted to cheese, but i cut it out of my diet recently.
I love garlic. Onions too. I wouldn't mind hearing peoples' tips on getting rid of garlic/onion breath...
LOVE Garlic. Here in Florida we have a Garlicfest that we attend every year. Garlic everything, including garlic ice cream!! Here is what they had on the menu this year http://www.dbgarlicfest.com/gourmet.htm
I can't say I have an obsession over any particular food, but I do have some vices, like cookies, perfectly ripe sweet strawberries, etc. Garlic is a tasty addition to lots of dishes, so I can understand your love for it. I do, wish to visit the Gilroy Garlic Festival once in my lifetime.
I have never heard of someone being really fond of garlic. I learn something each day...
Wow! Never heard of that! Personally I am the exception of the rule as I cannot even stand garlic... like papaya and seafood, makes me ill =(
@LilMishas_Ghost@xanga - When I lived in California, they also had a garlic fest!
Look at my username. Any other questions?
And I've heard that there is no such thing as too much garlic. At least you know that you'll be safe from any vampires.
haha are you really going to get a garlic tattoo? That would be awesome!
I totally get where you're coming from though. I could seriously live off of the garlic breadsticks from Olive Garden.
@LilMishas_Ghost@xanga - omg that is so cool!!!
@chocolatescifi@xanga - Exactly! haha
mine is cinnamon, but I don't eat foods with it on a normal basis. when I go out and happen to see it, then I might buy some sort of coffee variation smoothie with whip cream and cinnamon on top. cinnamon toast crunch cereal, cinnamon flavored gum, cinnamony dr.pepper soda, cinnamon pretzels, cinnamon muffins, but not on meat though-cinnamon steak sounds gross. I love sweets.
@ice_babe_4eva@xanga - Yeah I believe that the very first Garlicfest was held in Cali!
I'm kindof obsessed with watermelons and bananas. For a while I was really into spinach, and then for another while I was really into peanutbutter toast. I go through phases I guess.
Oh yes, Garlic, Its my addiction too *_*
@P0RCELA1N_D0LL@xanga - I tried cinnamon with chicken, it was good. I enjoyed it.
With that said, garlic makes everything better =P.
I bet you smell funny.
You should grow some of your own garlic. It's super easy, and you probably already know that nothing beats fresh garlic. Here's a great website for all things garlic-growing:

i love garlic :] i'm addicted to fruits, it's hard to go a day without one. it's like a drug, seriously.
Do you have trouble finding dates?
Hell yeah garlic c:
I think I'm addicted to a few...coffe, fruit, cereal....(cereal mainly because it's cheap, quick, and I'm in college >_>)
That tattoo sounds like too much though XD
I love garlic <3 Expecially if I eat it raw when I have one of those funky ear-aches. It doesnt taste good raw, but makes a hella good home remedy. The pain is normally gone in 20 minutes! Other than that, I use it all the time for rice, pesto, sauces and so much more! Garlic=WIN.
@ginakuzmick@xanga - I plan on it =] I have to keep the idea in my mind a little longer though...I like to give myself plenty of time to like the idea and make sure I won't regret it
@Japanesenightpurplegeisha@xanga - Haha luckily for me my boyfriend loves garlic just as much as I do, guess we're meant for each other!
@aliconklin - Awesome! I love garlic too, but I have to have it stir fried or boiled to rid the smell @_@.
