  • Food Terrorism: Attack by mice

Prepare to be grossed out and appalled by a restaurant owner's pettiness. A pizza shop owner in Pennsylvania planted mice in his competitors shops in order to get more business!

Nikola Galiatsatos, owner of Nina's Bella Pizzeria in Upper Darby, allegedly planted mice in Verona Pizza. Galiatsatos walked into Verona's and asked to use the bathroom. When the owner went to inspect the bathroom, after hearing a noise, he found a bag in the ceiling and immediately turned it over to two cops who coincidentally were eating in the restaurant.

While the cops believed it to be drugs, they were surprised to find mice! Galiatsatos hit up Uncle Nick's Pizza immediately after Verona's and cops discovered another bag with five mice.

Galiatsatos was arrested and faces charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, harassment and cruelty to animals.

My two cents: Cruelty to animals seems a bit unfair--the mice were transported to a pizzeria! Cruelty to humans seems more appropriate!

What do you think? How far is too far when it comes to keeping your restaurant alive?
