Top 5 Foods I Should Eat More Often
We all have foods that we love but for whatever reason always forget about. That is until we eat them again and say "Oh! I need to remember to eat this more often," and of course you forget again. Here is a list of the top 5 foods I am always forgetting. Hopefully this list will help me to remember from now on!
1) Beets
Okay seriously, I love beets. Especially pickled beets. They may stain everything pink, but as long as you are careful they are so delicious. Why don't I eat them more often?!
2) Couscous
What a wonderful food. It goes as a good side with almost everything and can be flavored any way you like. PLUS it is super easy to make. This needs to become a constant on my grocery list.
3) Yogurt
For whatever reason I never think of yogurt when I am shopping. But why not? I mean, it's good for you and comes in so many different flavors. Plus, the probiotics in yogurt are an awesome way to avoid getting sick.
4) Cottage Cheese
Maybe I am alone in this, but I LOVE cottage cheese. Especially with some type of fruit on the side or on a piece of toasted rye bread. My mother always had it in the house, so I ate it a lot growing up, but now that I have lived on my own for 4 years I rarely find myself buying it.
5) Bananas
What an awesome fiber-rich snack. My roommate buys them on occasion and only then do I realize that I should buy them, too.
What are the top 5 foods you find yourself constantly forgetting about?

Oatmeal. D:
The other four, I'm not so sure about yet. :P
I'm assuming this is a "healthy" list though, right? haha...
I love beets, sometimes I just buy a ton of canned ones and add them to whatever, or eat them right out of the can. Also I eat a banana every day for work's first break; they seem to give me more energy and keep me from getting too hungry between break and lunch :)
I am so with you! I always forget about cottage cheese and I love it!! AND bananas. They're there, but instead of of eating them, I just look at them. Ha ha ha!
So with you on the beets and the yoghurt. I should eat them more often, but never do. :-/
I should prolly eat red meat occasionally. I rarely do and I have problems with my iron levels.
I need to get my tuckus out of bed in the morning earlier so I can scramble and egg to eat with my orange for breakfast. The egg keeps me going longer than anything else.
I wish I could say pulled pork, but that's not really healthy even though it tastes soooooo good.
Mummy said I need to eat more vegetables. She said broccoli and cauliflower are good.
Other than that I tend to eat really healthily most of the time. I love lots of different vegetables and fruits.
i dont like any of these! especially cottage cheese! ICK!
now the only thing that i do like is the yogurt but thats just about it!
fruits, bran flakes, salads...hmm more healthy things in general.
I think I need more fiber in my diet. Cardboard sounds like a good option.
I love beets too - they're pretty wonderful. I drink beet juice weekly. Five things I should eat more of are: Broccoli, sprouts, kale, artichokes, and blackberries (but they're way out of season and I find them gross this time of year). I eat a nurtitarian diet so I have no problem getting in vegetables and fruits, I just don't eat enough of the above, when I should. I'm addicted to spinach.
carrots
Bananas never last that long, but yogurt and cottage cheese can go for weeks in the fridge, so go ahead and buy the cheaper, larger container. I LOVE Israeli couscous! It's the bigger ones that you brown in a pan before you add water.
My list: Spinach and fish.
Mmm, I love all those foods!
Greens; potatoes; whole grains; seeds; apples
i forgot about beets haha.
this may be weird but i tried fruit for the first time last week. kiwi's arent too bad
