  • French Quick Cooking : Fish à la Meunière

If there's any one dish that you need to have on your "speed-dial" list for cooking, it got to be this French plate. I posted this recipe a long time back and I cannot emphasize enough how this simple fish dish can be your best friend during crazy work weeks where spending time and effort to cook nutritional dishes become sheer luxuries. All you need are just 10 minutes and 4 key ingredients to whip up this delightful French dish. Got your aprons ready?

    Ingredients:

    • Butter (I highly recommend using Echiré on days when you are feeling rich and indulgent. ;P)
    • Flour
    • 1/2 Lemon
    • 200g White Fish
    • Parsley (optional)

Lightly sprinkle some salt and pepper on both sides of the fish.

    Coat well with flour.

Fry the fish with a slab of butter till it's fully cooked.

Remove fish from pan and serve on a plate.

Heat a slab of butter in the fry pan and squeeze drops of lemon.

Remove from heat once butter starts to melt and heat up.

Pour the lemon-butter juice over the fish and add some parsley.

(I've also prepared some shrimp in the same manner and threw in some greens on the side.)

    Viola. Let's tuck in!
