Top 5 Pizza Chains...It's Amore!
I am a pizza fanatic. I can easily (and proudly) say that pizza is my favorite food. It's so versatile- if you get sick of eating pepperoni and sausage, pile on some veggies. If you're worn out from marinara, switch to white sauce. But how do you really decide where to order? It takes some experience- both the good and the bad- and it depends on your own personal taste. Personally, I'm up for almost anything. "Almost" meaning there's exceptions, like this.
I've compiled a list of my favorite pizza chains, and they're in no particular order since my mood for pizza places often changes. Enjoy!
1. Donato's
This pizza is amazing beyond words. Their pepperoni is incredible, and they mean it when they say there's one hundred on there (I've counted). Pepperoni paired with the thin crust makes for a crunchy food orgasm. On a side note, they cut their pizzas into smaller square pieces. I've often found myself eating more than I should because of this. But hey, carpe diem, right?
2. Papa John's
The sweet tomato sauce mixed with the complimentary garlic butter is delicious. This pizza is less crispy and more doughy, so it's more comparable to New York style. The overall flavor of Papa John's is really unique, and definitely something that's hard to compete with.
A favorite of my college town, this place offers eight crust flavors to choose from- fo' free! I'd recommend garlic herb, but if you want to spice things up a bit, try the cajun (warning: it's reeeally hot!).
4. Marco's
Like Papa John's you can't go wrong with garlic butter sauce. I especially love Marco's because they have so many deals. My friends and I just ordered a 16" sheet pizza last night for only $6.99. Can you say "awesome"?
5. Domino's
You might be surprised to find this on the list. But Domino's has made a huge turnaround in the past year or so. Their pizza used to be lifeless and sort of "meh" to eat, kind of like how I would feel watching Frasier- I could take it or leave it. Now, I've discovered that Domino's has listened to their customers, and they've delivered and catered (haha!) to everyone's wants and needs. Their crust has a nice bit of flavor to it now, and it seems that they've been using better ingredients (you'll notice when you try it). Again, they have a lot of deals going on, probably to lure customers back in. Give it a second chance, trust me.

I only know 2 of these 5. Apparently, I've been missing on life.
wow I haven't even heard of three of those! I love pizza as well! I think my favorite is Pizza Hut though. that or Brick Oven Pizza, or the pizza they sell at Costco. Mmmmm
domino's tastes so gross now
Round Table Pizza. Yum.
Hey! I love watching Frasier!
I love a place here in chicago called mama Luna's it's my favorite thin crust. as far as the big chicago chains gino's east deep dish is my absolute favorite.
CPK!!!
dominos, little caesars and pizza hut go hand in hand=gross and bland. pizza hut is so old school and commercialized.
never tried the other ones though.
round table is pretty good as well. if i remember correctly, they make the crust by hand so its really good. you could taste the difference.
I like any COLD veggie pizza. doesnt really matter what store it comes from
I love papa john's! (: i think dominos pizza is too flavorful now... too much parmesan cheese ): my boyfriend & i got dominos to bring back home to eat & I felt like throwing up during the car ride because the smell of the pizza was way too strong ): I like Red Brick pizza though :D but it's expensive ):
Having grown up near Chicago and having a parent (my dad) born/raised in the city itself, my first reaction is that most really good pizza places aren't going to be chains.
But fully knowing the title, I'd have to say Little Ceasers isn't on here. :( I <3 that place.
ewww donato's is like grease on cardboard. no me gusta.
in chicago we have giordano's which is INfuckingCREDIBLE
i'm pretty sure hungry howie's is only in ohio... because i know it but i've never seen it anywhere else
Mmm... I need to try more pizza :O
seeing as you probably aren't from St. Louis, i'm going to forgive you for not listing Imo's. St. Louis style pizza beats everything out there. provel > mozzarella.
Domino's has also jacked their prices WAAAAAAY the hell up. They may be doing better but not that much.
@TequilaKisses@xanga - lol, same here.
@Proud2B2003@xanga - Amen to that. Ever try Dino and Nicks?
i only know domino's =(
I fucking love pizza. I could eat it all the time, everyday, and I'm far from overweight, trust me. There's a pizza shop in New York around where I live called Bellagio's (go figure), and they have some of the best pizza you'd ever ingest. Goddammit, give me some NOW. And on another note, I recognize a couple people on here from many of the other Xanga links. That is all.
@SHORTiEExC@xanga - I agree...I love their pizza! Round Table all the way!!!
My Fave pizza is from California Pizza Kitchen and the pizza place down the street. I do love Papa John's however. =)
