@seriously_meredith@xanga - Its very yummy!
Where can we get the matcha powder (besides Starbucks)? Any recommendations for specific brands?
Could it just be any green tea powder?
@BlehhItsTu@xanga - @strax@xanga - My questions exactly. I've had the HARDEST time finding matcha anywhere.
it's lattes and splendas. geez, learn how to form a plural and how not to abuse apostrophes. as in not apostrophe's.
AHA!!!!

@strax@xanga - if you have a tea place, look there, places like silk road, teopia, or other tea stores, i saw someone thinking to by it from the whole foods store, ask around and see where you can get it.
@BlehhItsTu@xanga - im thinking so, but just to see, try it out, if not then id stick with matcha,
@kaos_calle@xanga - Im sorry, but i do have a learning disabitlity and cannot spell and stuff so please dont be too offended about my spelling.
@RaVnR@xanga - Hey thanks for finding that site, it helps alot with helping people understand about the matcha.

Where can I get matcha powder from? I've been looking for some but I can never find any in those Asian stores...
The only time I've ever been able to find matcha resembling that of the ones Starbucks uses was in a little ikea like shop in Hong Kong. When I worked at Starbucks, there was no label on the bag except an expiration date and the words made in Japan printed on the bottom.
If you go to a Japanese supermarket they may have it, I only know of a few of those in Norcal and Socal though.
I love green tea powder. Haha.
I have a cheap honey lemon kind thoughHaven't really tried milk with green tea
But I love both milk and green tea so maybe Ill like the combination of the two..
my friend really likes this stuff, thanks :)
i want to know how they make those pretty designs on top~
Yummerz~
Thank you so much!
@strax@xanga - i got mine at the asian market.
green tea latte my fav <3 need to find matcha ....
Matcha is easily found in Asian food stores and especially Ebay.
A reasonable price is $0.05 per gram. I find it unreasonable to pay $20.00 for 80g. Some will guilt you into paying a premium for "their" Matcha, but unless you have supertrained taste buds, you won't detect a big difference. The worst the blend could be is aground composite consisting of the the whole tea stalk - which, by the way, would basically mean your cup would contain more vitamins and fiber.Had this in Bangkok. It was soooo refreshing.
1 stalk Lemongrass, crushed or chopped1 tsp Matcha (green tea powder)Hot, hot water.Honey (or any kind of sugar, or sweetener)
Put Matcha and lemongrass in a coffee presa (or teapot)Let it steep at least 4-5 Minutes. (Press if using coffee press).Pour over chopped ice.Add sweetener of choice.Stir. Enjoy.
This would be great hot. Especially if you had a case of the sniffles.
