Fine Art For Fine Dining
I don't know how many of you readers are art or art history majors but I wanted to share this because If you are familiar with the following artists whose work has been turned into food on these plates you'll really appreciate it too. Created by Erwin Bauer for Vienna's Mumok Museum of Modern Art.
The picture above is inspired by this:
This totally made me smile because the plates really do capture the artist's style so easily with the simple use of food! And if you don't know much of these artists and you're bored, do Google them or do a little research!
To view a better and larger picture of the the photo click here.
Enjoy!
Questions:
What do you think of these art styles? Does food art inspire you? Does the picture above make you hungry? Do you recognize some of these artists?

omg i love this! i was an art major in college (i just graduated in may!) i think my favorite is the mondrian just because it shows it so well and probably because of the juxtaposition of the squares in the plate.
Haha this is really cool! Thanks for the post :)

@cryholy@xanga - np!! :)
the picture with squares reminds me of an episode from arthur, aha.
food art is different and unique, but can be interesting and fun as well (i.e. japanese bento boxes - they're so cute).
