Weird Food Habits: Frosty Fry Combo
Everyone has their own quirky way to eat certain foods. Well, here's my little food confessions of how I eat:
Wendy's Chocolate Frosty and French Fries
Ok, you're probably looking at me wondering what's so weird about those two foods. They're delicious fast-food treats. You can't do anything weird with that.
Or can I?
It's simple enough, but one of my favorite things to do is dip the french fries INTO the Frosty. Yep, you heard right. I mix these two seemingly un-mixable foods! At this point, either you're making a disgusted face OR you're nodding your head in agreement because you've done THIS BEFORE. (If that's the case, you are now my new best friend.)
No ketchup, no mustard, no bbq sauce. Just french fries dipped in a Frosty.
I don't know. There's something about mixing a hot, salty french fry with cool, sweet chocolate ice cream. I literally crave this snack when I'm having a bad day. It's one of the ultimate comfort foods for me. The contrast of textures, between the crispy fry and smooth ice cream are just so interesting that the different flavors seem to dance on my tastebuds.
I knew I was weird when my friend saw me eating my Frosty-Fry combo at Wendy's and made a face. She commented on how "disgusting" it looked, and how the two aren't supposed to mix. I felt like a weirdo until 5 minutes later, a girl I didn't know walked by our table and saw me eating it. She literally exclaimed in the middle of Wendy's about how she LOVES dipping her french fries in the Frosty, too!
Phew! I wasn't the only one. (And I know there's more of you out there!!)
I gave my friend a look that said I-told-you-so, and ate the rest of my meal with a smile.
After all, it's no different then the contrast of flavors and textures of chocolate-covered pretzels.....right?
Does anyone else dip their french fries in something else other than the typical condiments?

I'm not sure if I've ever tried this before. As strange as it sounds, this does sound pretty good. I will remember to pick up a Frosty and some fries next time at Wendy's. I don't really have any strange food habits, but my husband puts BBQ sauce on macaroni and cheese.
This isn't strange at all. Every person I know who actually likes Wendy's does this.

Yes!! I prefer the vanilla ones though, or even the m&m twisted ones.
I only do this when I'm at Wendy's! No other place. This is weird for me because I lovelovelove ketchup.

How can it be weird when the kids in Wendy's commercials dip their fries in frostys?
i do this too! you know what's good though? dipping BK chicken tenders into their soft serve ice cream. :D
my mom showed me to dip fries in frosties when i was little. it apparently has been around for as long as wendys has haha

That actually sounds really good. I dip my popcorn in hot chocolate. Everyone thinks it's strange..but it's that chocolate/salty mix. It's tasty.
This is the only thing I'm willing to eat at Wendy's which I normally HATE. Doesn't everyone do this?

DUDE! try a chili's chocolate shake with fries. best thing ever!
french fries + frosty = love.
