WHY NOT COMBINE THEM?
I love the classic taste of pizza, with the crispy, flaky crust and warm gooey cheese. But I also love the taste of chicken alfredo, with the juicy chicken and creamy sauce! It's no wonder someone came up with the genius idea... to make an ultimately DELICIOUS CHICKEN ALFREDO PIZZA!
Yes! I've had this brilliant creation a few times from pizza parlors, but now I finally found a recipe that's quick and easy to make on my own. (My stomach is happy, but my cholesterol isn't!!)
1 tube refrigrated pizza crust dough or already prepared pizza crust
1 jar alfredo sauce
1 can chunk chicken breast (drained) OR 1 1/2 cups cooked white chicken breast meat
1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1/4 chopped green onion
1 1/2 cups mozzerella cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Press dough to cover a greased baking sheet and bake 8 minutes. Remove from oven and spread three-fourths of the alfredo sauce over crust. Top evenly with chicken, bell pepper, green onion, and cheese. Bake 6-10 minutes more, or until crust bottom is a light golden brown. Serve with remaining alfredo sauce for dipping. Makes 6-8 servings.
I hope you guys enjoy this delicious concotion as much as I do. Yum! If you have a party coming up, or a birthday, or maybe you just want to make your significant other something a little tasty, definitely give this recipe a try!
