  • Ham Ji Park - Best Ribs Award

If you can recall a few entries ago, I attended the Korean BBQ Festival in LA. One of the restaurants there, Hamjipark, won the Jonathan Gold's awards for Best Ribs. I have to say, after standing in line for 45 minutes, those ribs were pretty darn good and deserved the award.

Short story for you. When I got to the front of the line, I complained why they were working so slow. I was standing in line for so long, that I was sunburned, icky, sweaty.... just not having it. So Adam, the gentlemen serving the ribs, told me that if I go to their restaurant, I would get free beer. Now, not only the beer was appealing, but their food is actually GOOD. The beer would be a bonus if I did went. And so I went. Haha!

I went with Tom, Eugene, Nelson and Christine. The restaurant was really packed, so we had to wait for about 10 minutes, which wasn't so bad. After we were seated, Adam recognized me right away and gave not only me free beer, but to ALL of my friends free beer! He didn't have to do that, but it shows us that he's a really great host.

We ordered the marinated sirloins, marinated pork ribs, pork neck and potato stew and spicy squid with noodle. It was pretty good.  Everyone had a blast, food was great, valet was $1.50. What a steal this place was! Everyone should stop by here.

Still not convinced that this place is good, visit
    Hamjipark's Yelp for other reviews.

What restaurant or place lived up to the hype for you?
