Recipe: Jello Shots In Orange Peels

Another jello post by me (apologize for you jello haters! haha). I've always wanted to try this but never got around to making it yet. I'm going to make sure I do before my summer ends! It's just another way to serve jello or jello shots since they're the perfect amount to just swallow up....JELLO SHOTS IN ORANGE PEELS!Ingredients:
Cooking Utensils
Water
Vodka
Jello (any flavor)
Oranges (or desired citrus fruit)Before getting started, take your oranges and cut them in half. Spoon out the inside of the oranges, leaving just the peel. Blot the inside with paper towels to get it as dry as possible.
Basically what you do is pour the jello mixture in half sliced orange peels (or lemons, limes, grapefruits, whatever you like) and then put them in the fridge! When it's done, you cut them into the smaller slices as if they are really oranges! You'll definitely want a good knife for this!

This is so effin cool. I'm not a huge jello fan, but when you throw in liquor, how can I resist? I can't wait to make this and impress the hell out of everyone, even though they look pretty easy to make.

SO making this! Thanks for the awesome post!
Amazing idea! But curious, do you just use the boiled water as the water and replace the room-temperature water with the vodka? I just figured I'd ask in case I don't get the recipe right...
@PUMPKiN_ERiCA@xanga - Allow the jello mixture to cool to room temp and then once its cooled down to room temperature, stir in the alcohol :)
Apparently adding alcohol to the boiling hot jello mixture can change the taste of the alcohol. Hope that helped!
@PUMPKiN_ERiCA@xanga - stir in the alcohol after the mixture has cooled. Alcohol has a low boiling point and evaporates easily.
WOW those look really good. I think I'm going to make that!!!
