  • Red Mango's Fruit Parfait: Rekindling My Love For Frozen Yogurt

I dare you not to jealously stare and drool all over the picture.

I've always been vocal part of the frozen yogurt craze (froyo, yo!). Always partial to Red Mango's (a frozen yogurt chain) swanky atmosphere and refreshingly tasty frozen yogurts I've been a loyal froyo fan for over four years.

So when Red Mango's new Fruit Parfait came out I was first on line to try it out. A bit on the pricier side (I believe about six dollars) the delicious parfait was absolutely worth all the hype.

It looked exactly like advertised and somehow taste even better than the regular yogurt in a cup with fruit toppings (although it is essentially the same thing!). I think it is the layering of yogurt, fruit, granola, yogurt, fruit, and granola that brings about well- rounded flavors with each bite.

The reason for this post is because I recently tried the fruit parfait again this week and I'm not sure if I died and went to heaven during the process. It was that good. The fruit (strawberries, bananas, and blueberries) were fresh and sliced right in the store, and the granola clusters were divine, creating a yummy crunchy texture. The frozen yogurt was light and refreshing.

For you all on the health conscious side- this dessert/meal is an excellent concoction that will energize you and keep you happy all day. Their campaign slogan for the parfait which is, "Re-think lunch" is suitable for those craving for a healthier change in their usual ham-and-cheese sandwich kinda meal.

I also tried their POM pomegranate flavored frozen yogurt, which was also very good. But the fruit parfait (Berry Mix) has completely stolen my heart and revitalized my absolute adoration for Red Mango. Bravo, well done- I will come back for more.

    Questions, comments, concerns:

Have you tried Red Mango's fruit parfait? Do you love frozen yogurt? What other establishments are worthwhile in the frozen yogurts' department?
