  • Interesting News Feed: "Brownie Bandit" Finally Caught

News taken from this AP article.

How far are you willing to go for brownies?

Well, in Gonzales, Louisiana, the notorious "Brownie Bandit" had been terrorizing local bakeries with numerous burglaries of stolen baked goods; particularly brownies. Stealing at night, the bandit had stolen 12 dozen brownies. This means 144 brownies in total.

According to AP, the police had finally arrested a suspect who broke into a bakery with a bag filled with brownies. 18-year old Jamon J. Simoneaux is now in jail waiting for a trial. For more, click here: AP article.

I think it's interesting that this kid would only go for the brownies, when there were probably other delicious cakes in the bakeries. I believe he was some kind of degenerate foodie. A wayward foodie, if you'd like.

In no way am I advocating stealing. Let me repeat: stealing is terrible and unhealthy. However in a totally noncriminal and hypothetical situation where you had a whole bakery to yourself- what is the first dessert that you would head for?

I would personally head towards the cupcakes because I'm a sucker for those. Especially bite-sized desserts hold a very special place in my heart.

Some light questions to think about:

What is the one baked dessert you would go crazy over? What do you think about the "Brownie Bandit-" a misguided foodie or something else?
