  • Eating out in Seoul - Your Kimchi Litmus Test

As promised, my Korean food adventure in Seoul! ;)
While I was there, I completely fell in love with the little Korean eateries. Their incredibly yummy food, unbelievably cheap prices and uber friendly owners just felt like a combination too good to be true! In retrospect, my 4D3N trip in the capital city of South Korea could actually double up as a spice marathon as almost every dish came with something red or a redish looking side dish. It was literally a paradise for spice fixes! ;)

I've uploaded some of the food photos here and this post shall be a litmus test to find out how hearty your appetite for fiery red Korean spices is! Are you ready for some serious kimchi action? Here we go!

To ensure I could fully indulge in my kimchi feasts, I went light on breakfasts, with nothing more than just a yogurt and some fruits each morning.

Bim bim bap - Korean mixed rice.

Bim Bim Bap Claypot version with kimchi soup on the side.

Our favorite eatery next to Changdeok Palace - We loved the food in this little eatery so much that we ate there twice in a row!

The "work desk" where the chef prepared the Gim Bap (steamed rice + ingredients rolled in seaweed).

The menu. Can someone press the Help button please?!

    Kimchi pork rice.

Mandu - Korean dumplings with kimchi in it. Addictively good!!!!

Kimchi Fried Rice for the hardcore kimchi fans. Anyone up for it?

So, how hearty is your kimchi appetite, on a scale of 1 to 10?
