  • Grilled Sausage with Fried Onions and Peppers

This is a guest post from Thibeault's Table.

I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work looking for inspiration.   I hadn't eaten lunch, and I was hungry  so it had to be something that was also quick and simple.

What could be easier than grilled sausage on a bun.

Topped with fried onions and peppers with fried potatoes on the side.

The sausage was fresh chorizo.   Not what I would call a typical or traditional Chorizo.  This sausage is made by the local Vancouver Island company -  Hertel Meats.   Although not a traditional Chorizo I really like this sausage and often buy it when it is available and serve it for breakfast.  I love the flavor, it is spicy but not overly so.

What is your quick and simple meal that you make when you just don't feel up to a complicated lunch or dinner?

    • About Me: I maintain two blogs - 'Thibeault's Table' records my day-to-day cooking and 'Thibeault's Table the Recipe Collection' contains my favourite recipes from over 35 years of home cooking. My philosophy of cooking is simple - "Recipes are meant to be shared". Blogging now provides opportunities to share recipes on a global level with no expense to readers. The recipes are either original, adaptations, or, in some cases unchanged from an original source. I always try to give attribution to the original source. The photos are all original. I would appreciate the courtesy of an acknowledgment and a link back to my blog if one of my recipes or photos are copied and posted elsewhere. Thank you for visiting my Blogs.
