  • Foods That Look Like the Body Parts They're Good For

OK, OK, I stole these pictures from Woman's Day. (Click on the link for the full original article).

But it's SUCH a cool idea, I had to pass it on.  I mean seriously, these foods ACTUALLY look like the body part they're good for- I had never noticed! That Amanda Greene is a creative genius. Check it out:

They help decrease the risk of developing macular degeneration, which is currently the most common reason behind vision loss among the elderly.

Walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are well-known to aid in brain function.

    3. CELERY:BONE

Silicon in celery helps to strengthen bone density.

    4. AVOCADOS:FALLOPIAN TUBES

    5. CLAMS:TESTICLES

Clams contain folic acid and zinc, which both aid in the production of semen.

    6. GRAPEFRUIT:BREAST

    7. TOMATO:HEART

Lycopene in tomatoes helps to decrease the risk of heart disease.

    8. RED WINE:BLOOD

Red wine contains antioxidants that strengthen your blood's own little immune system.  It also protects against blood clots and strokes.

    9. GINGER:STOMACH

Ginger is a well-known soother of nausea and stomach upset.

    10.  SWEET POTATO:PANCREAS

I love traveling to new places and trying new things - which can either be wonderful or disastrous in the food arena. I am a New Yorker situated in Virginia for school, although I try hard not to stay in one place for too long!
