  • Help Save The Workers of Mott's Applesauce!

Hey, wanted to let you guys know that the workers who make Mott's Applesauce (among other products) were forced out on strike on May 23rd. The apple growers in the area are getting worried about the situation and just sent a letter urging Mott's to go back to the table and negotiate with the workers and several New York politicians have already lent their support.

There isn't any economic necessity for what the company is proposing to do. The company is turning a profit, but proposed cuts to wages, health benefits, and wanted to freeze pensions. On top of that, the top three executives at Mott's parent company doubled their pay between 2007 and 2009.

It's a ridiculous example of corporate greed and the workers could use your support. If you've got a second, check out www.nobadapples.org

    Thanks!

I will be informing all my friends as well as professional associates about this issue.  We are members of the WNYPGA and I will be informing our members across the country on  this situation as well as the local supermarkets in this area.  I am calling for a boycott of all the Dr Pepper Snapple Group products.  A company that doesn't take care of its workers doesn't deserve the support of its buyers!!!!
