  • 10 Foods To Prevent Bad Breath

How many times have you thought to yourself, "Oh no. I think......I think my breath might smell bad". And it's embarrassing! Because nobody wants rank breath. What if you're on a job interview? Or a date? Or just with your friends? Do you want your breath to make their eyes water? Of course not! So here are a few foods that will keep your breath smelling fresh and clean!

    1. Yogurt
Apparently yogurt cuts down on the amount of odor causing hydrogen sulfide that is in your mouth. Not to mention, yogurt is delicious! So eat up friends! Even if you are watching calories they have nice low fat yogurts now.

    2. Foods like:

    Berries

    Melon

    and Citrus Fruits

They help to fight bad breath and they also help to fight gum disease. So not only will you have good breath but your gums will be healthy and strong!

    3. Sugarless Mints

Key word being 'sugarless'. It masks any sort of bad breath that might be bad but you need to make sure it's sugarless because sugar will cause plaque which will in turn make bad breath worse. So sugar free is the key! Wow, that rhymed. I'm a poet and I didn't even know it.

    4. Herbs

Fresh herbs will help to prevent bad breath. But if you're like me and the idea of chewing on herbs doesn't exactly sound like your idea of fun, add them to a drink to try and incorporate them in a different way.

    5. Milk

Apparently it stops bad breath in it's tracks! Whodathunkit? Especially after you eat something that makes your breath smell, like onions or garlic.

    6. Lemon

Personally I don't like how bitter lemons are, so if you want to use lemons to fight bad breath, make it into a lemon drink. But not lemonade because of all of the sugar, which (as I mentioned before) will cause plaque and eventually bad breath.

    7. Grapefruit

The acidity in the grapefruit will help to stop bad breath as well.

What foods do you use to help thwart bad breath?
