I´m having a hard time making friends with vegetable smoothies of any kind. I do have one recipe that I love, and try to make almost every day.
The smoothie is very light and frothy, and the taste of the greens is very light. According to the rules of healthy raw food combining, apples are the one fruit that goes with almost everything.
Blend well, and drink immediately ! !
The inspiration comes from a juice recipe (I've lost the link). I prefer to blend instead of juicing, since I need my fiber.
Do you add any vegetables into your smoothies?

Yes I do. I like adding carrots and cucumber.
i would add carrots or something else sorta sweet, but never vegetables like say, broccoli. yuck.

I drink a pineapple/ spinach/ banana/ spirulina (sea weed) smoothie every day. It sounds gross, but the pineapple and banana are the only thing you can taste. It's so healthy and I love it.

well, there are mixes for that.
One of my dad's girlfriends used to, and it wasn't so bad because it added texture.
I live on a steadfast diet of pretzels, noodles, oatmeal and diet coke, more oatmeal these days, and I eat a little more meat sometimes.

Yeah. Chuck some spinach in there. Aside from the awful green colour, nobody notices!
I almost always add cucumber to mine. It adds a flavor I actually enjoy.
YES, YES, YES. I always add a variety of greens to mine. Feels sooooo good- alkalizing and cleansing. While it's not as efficient for extracting and absorbing the nutrients from the greens as juicing, it definitely one-ups just chomping down a bowl of veggies (and takes less time too!). Also cuts down on potential gassy/bloating side-effects many people complain about when eating a bucket of salad, which are completely natural and expected, just annoying.
And I agree- when it comes to milder greens like spinach, romaine, some spring/field greens, and even kale (minus the stems), they are totally masked by starchy fruits like Banana.
One green that I have found NOT to work in my sweet combos is Mustard Greens. They were accidentally (and repetively!) labeled as Kale at my grocery store for quite some time. The first time I bought some "Kale", I discovered that though it tasted nothing like what I remembered, it did taste almost exactly like Wasabi!! So I made a fantastic Wasabi Slaw and put it on my Homemade Veggie Burger (soy-free) and held it together between two pieces of Ezekial bread! So good, even the meat-lovers loved it... (I'm sorry this has completely rabbit-trailed from smoothies!)
...oh yeah, i think i even dipped it in soy sauce, haha.

I throw a handful of spinach into almost every smoothie I make because you can't taste it and it's great for you, so why not? If I drink one every day my skin clears up. :)
Sometimes I add a carrot, but never a carrot AND spinach because it gets a fiber-y texture.

2 cups spinach, one frozen banana, one cup vanilla almond milk,1 T chia seeds. delish! It often add a small spoonful of peanut butter, too... and a couple strawberries if I have some.
wow i never really thought of putting veggies into my smoothies but im definitely going to do this!! i;m trying to eat a lot more raw foods these days and my goal is to make half of my diet raw foods!
I always put 1-2 cups of spinach in my smoothies.
