Daily Q: Chinese, Mexican or Indian?
Am I just Mexican/Chinese in Indian garb?There's an awesome episode of How I Met Your Mother where the gang is discussing what they want for dinner and the following happens (I'd have video were it not for copyright claims by Twentieth Century Fox, though if you *must* witness the hilarious cadence, you can click here):
Ted: Chinese food?
Barney: I don't like Chinese.
Ted: Indian?
Barney: I just said, I don't like Chinese.
Ted: Indian isn't Chinese.
Barney: Weird meats, funny music, side of rice. Why are we splitting hairs?
Ted: Mexican?
Barney: I just said, I don't like Chinese!*Laughing my culo off*
Anyway, it got me to thinking: if you love one of these-Mexican, Indian or Chinese-do you love all of them?
Is there one that's the most popular?
Am I just splitting hairs?

I prefer Indian cuisine. It has a lot of delicious vegetarian options.

There's a time and place for all the kinds of foods, being being Chinese-American and living in Los Angeles, I'd be partial to Chinese and Mexican food. I've tried Indian food too, I like it but I am particular, don't like anything toooo exotic. I think Ted should really find a new person to eat lunch with, though lol.
I've not had a lot of Indian food, but I say that Chinese food is my favorite.
I love Chinese food. Its deff not the same.
I like all of them! Probably Mexican the most. I haven't had a lot of indian food, but what I've had has been awesome

chinese food is alright, but i prefer mexican

My favorite food is Indian food, it's so good and it's DEFINITELY not the same!
I LOVE Chinese (and Japanese and Mongolian BBQ and Thai and anything even relatively Asian in nature). I have to be in the mood for Mexican, but when I do crave it --- it is AMAZING. I have never had Indian. However, they are definitely not the same thing. (At least from all the Chinese and Mexican I have had --- very distinct difference).

I get my curry extremely hot, then dump some hot sauce on it for good measure.

I love chinese and i'm good with indian and..mexican..it just depends where.
Lately, I've been craving chutney so I'll go with Indian.
I think they're all generally similar, but Indian food is my favorite.
Mexican (I love me some tacos.. mm), Indian, then Chinese. I have Chinese every other day so I'm pretty much bored with it, although there are still several dishes I can't live without!
I love Indian food the best! I guess Mexican food is the most popular some places, and Chinese/Asian food in other places. In my hometown, we have a large Mexican population, so you can get a lot of good Mexican food. Even cheap food! Now I'm in a small college town in Southern Indiana, and there aren't many good Mexican places. My boyfriend is from Seattle, and he misses good Asian food.
You are not splitting hairs. =_=. They all taste different even though there are similarities. I prefer Chinese over Indian or Mexican.
