IHOP's New Cheesecake-Filled Pancakes
Do you like cheesecake? What about pancakes? What if someone combined the two into a monster-breakfast plate, topped off with fruit compote and some whipped cream?
If that sounds delicious, you're in luck. IHOP (International House of Pancakes for those not in the US) has now added this combination to their menu for a limited time. Now, they refer to it as a dessert, but it's also available with a combo meal, which includes eggs, hash browns, and either sausage, bacon, or ham. The meal totals to 1250 kcals and 2750 mgs of salt (2300 mgs is the recommended max for a day).
There's been a lot of comparison between this and KFC's Double Down sandwich which nutrition experts also decry as a total dietary disaster.
What do you think of this newest fast food creation? Do you think there's some sort of conspiracy from the fast food industry to kill us faster?

I'd try it. I rarely eat junk like that anyways.
I'd split it with a friend. It looks good. =)
wow that sounds amazing...*drools*
Yhy must the food industry tempt us like this? Perhaps it is their ploy to kill us faster; advanced medicine's saving more and more lives, so much overpopulation all over the world, maybe they think they're doing us all a favor by making more space on Earth by making us fat and killing us?
Omg just like when I walked past Del Taco and there was some kind of Caramel Cheesecake Fried donut balls or something ridiculously fatty like that. I wanted to gag.
I think they'd be too sweet for my tastes.
It's been around for a loooooooong time now. November was when I first had it. it's DELICIOUS. omfg. especially with the strawberry syrup on top!
I didn't find the cheesecake bits to be too sweet myself, but then again, my sweet tooth knows no bounds haha.
I'd love to try it!
d...looks yummmm
"This Is Why You're Fat" haha...but seriously, I bet they're DELICIOUS!
Looks great. If it doesn't kill you, it's not worth the money.
They had this solely as a dessert for years now, except its crepe filled with cheesecake and topped with fruit.
I'd eat it. All my friends would eat it. We probably will try to eat it together. Soon. Maybe. We should. Nomnomnom.
I love cheesecake but I don't think I'll be trying this one because I'm not a big fan of pancakes... That just seems like a weird combination to me.
"Do you think there's some sort of conspiracy from the fast food industry to kill us faster?"
Why not? Population control-they need to start doing their part.
this should be on this is why you're fat
Ohman, this looks sickeningly delicious. I must try it! Except every time I go to IHOP, I come hungry, but leave extremely full because the portion sizes are so huge and delicious.
That, is disgusting.
as long as you're healthy, healthy weight, exercise frequently enough. i don't see why you cant try those things. just don't eat it everyday. everything is better in moderation! i'd try it, it looks really good!
That sounds really, really good. I'd probably just replace my birthday cake with that instead!
That sounds nice but there is no way I would eat that much food. That is close to how many calories I eat in a day. I would rather have a small slice of cheesecake and stay healthy and still get to eat what I like.
i like ihop's special edition pancakes. i want them to bring back the coffeecake pancakes. they were SO GOOD.
Dang that sounds awesome.
I won't lie: that sounds like it'd be awesome to try.
Well if you take away the has browns (-225 calories) and the two eggs (-150 calories) and the bacon (-100 calories) ... Then the cheesecake-filled pancakes are only about 775 calories (if not less), so you could share it with someone and not have to worry too much.
Then again, at 1250 calories, you could share the entire meal with a friend and not have to worry (depending on your dietary needs). Just drink a ton of water to counteract the sodium and go for it.
I would try it.
Yum, I'd love to try those!
Yet, I rarely eat out. I doubt I will, but they do sound delicious.
