Daily Q: What Is Your Favorite Spice or Herb?
Herbs and spices provide a dish with that extra flavor to make it that much more flavorful and delicious. Each herb and spice have their own distinct taste and character.
Thyme is lemony, red pepper has some heat and cinnamon has a certain sweetness to it. My favorite herb is rosemary. It smells like a pine tree and goes well with a number of different dishes and other herbs.
What is your favorite herb or spice and why?

i'm loving black pepper right now, but i also like cajun and italian seasonings.
CINNAMON!!!! Because it goes good with sugar. And I love me some sugar.
I particularly love fresh basil and cilantro for the bright flavors they add to a dish.
Please don't make me pick!!
@RaVnR@xanga - Haha, seriously! I love them all
basil for herb, red pepper for heat
i don't think it counts.. but i love when LAVENDER is put into recipes
Really, I think this entirely depends on the dish. I absolutely love very herbal or spiced dishes. Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Cilantro, Curry and so on and so forth. They all taste great in different ways, and even more so when used in the right way.
Haha I just don't like bland food. =D
I like ginger. It's versatile; it's good for cooking as well as making a good cup of tea.
I love using mint leaves, or cilantro!!!
There are SO many herbs and SO many spices that if you were to singularly ask "What's your favorite herb?" or "What's your favorite spice?", I would still have a hell of a time trying to pick out only one.
That being said, I can't pick out one of either that's my favorite, although cilantro is sticking out in my mind right now. I think cilantro would make top three, so there's one of my favorite herbs.
Can't say I know what to pick for spices though. They're all good, many of which I know has been mixed into my food, but I can't tell what it tastes like by itself.
oregano, cinnamon,black pepper
funny, i was just thinking about this the other day.
in order, i like oregano, rosemary, thyme, chili powder, parsley, cumin, cilantro & basil.Of course there are things like cayenne pepper, dill, celery seed, garlic, ginger & mustard seed that really have to be in something to be enjoyed, but i love them too!he good mall to pick your fashion
