  • Daily Q: What's The Best Food-Related Double Entendre?

One of the most mis-heard lyrics of all time is from Peter Gabriel's metaphorical ode to what all metaphors in music refer to sex, Sledgehammer: "Show me 'round your fruit cage and I'll be your honey bee..."

Turns out, "fruit cage" is British slang for the composite of female reproductive organs.

The reason for a deep analysis of these pop lyrics is because Americans thought they heard the bluesy dreamboat crooning about someone showing them 'round their "fruitcake," which can signify both a cake that people keep baking but no one likes eating or a derogatory term for a homosexual male. So Americans were confused.

Some filthy-minded readers, I won't name names but...recently shared their shock at the title of an innocuous IRLF post entitled "My Perfect Salad Toss".

Apparently, "salad toss" has a meaning other than the toss of salad.

What are your favorite wink-wink-nudge-nudge innuendos/metaphors/double-entendres for sex something else involving food?
