Daily Q: What Food Really Grosses You Out?
I like most foods, and I'm sure you do too. Everyone has their dislikes though. I cannot stand Tuna Melts. Just the thought of melting cheese on tuna is unnatural.
What sort of foods or meals can you just not stand and find really gross?

The longer I'm veg, the more I'm turned off by animal flesh. Seriously. I can't even hardly eat meat anymore, much less look at it. I'm not sure why though. I don't have any moral objections to eating meat, but it's so easy to say no to a juicy steak these days.
Mayonnaise. Is that even a food? Barf.
So, by extrapolation, any actual food with mayonnaise in it grosses me out. As does cooked spinach/greens. Fresh? We're good to go. But wilt or cook it at all, and I'm done.
@lgsbeerreviews - I hear ya.
i honestly can't stand peanut butter. after eating it like you have to drink something cause your mouth gets all gross, the smell just repulses me, and its all oily and unnatural haha.
I would have to say spinach only because it stinks something fierce when it's cooked. Oh and brussel sprouts. They stink and look awful when cooked!
This Filipino dish called buro. I think it's made out of fish, vinegar and rice and the result looks somewhat of porridge texture. But honestly, you have to smell it to know why I dislike it so much. I can't bear to try it just because of the smell and I'm usually open-minded about food.
liver. especially after the 7am bio lab this morning
Pickles. And green peppers. And salad dressing (not mayo, though). All of it makes me want to projectile vomit at the person eating/cooking it. I just can't stand it.
MAYO. I have a phobia
so you can melt cheese on a cow but not on a fish?!
i hate oil. oil is so so so nasty. and any prepacked-frozen-microwave in second kinda of meals.
Hamburger Mac and Cheeseburger Mac are extremely repulsive, as well as ketchup.
I'm definitely picky, though.
tripe...ewww...
I can't think of a food that grosses me out. I won't eat raw carrots, but they don't gross me out. I'm sure some delicacy from another country probably would though, but out of the things we consider actual food in America, nothing grosses me out.
It's not so much food but when something is completely cooked...ie when food crunches when it should not. And fish served with the head on, can't stand it looking at me.
unnatural, I think that's a bit ignorant. I'm pretty sure tuna was never naturally meant to be combined with mayo and pepper, but someone did it, and others like it.
But to be involved with your post, I really don't like the idea of eating eye balls.
pig liver, intestine....... ewwww :S
Food?
meat/dead animals.
tuna melt and pig liver is yum to me
pig kidney on the other hand is yuck, due to the pee flavor that cannot be removed if you ask me. i hate the Chinese dish that is a stir fry of pork liver and kidney slices--i have to look closely and pick out the liver to eat while avoiding the kidney
but more than kidney, i think cold, oily food is gross, like cold pizza. it's fine when the oil is hot, but when it becomes a dull solid ... ewww
I'll have to go with ZepBlueEyedGirl on mayonnaise. It is Evil White Slime. And that pretty much goes for anything with mayo in it as well.
I can't stand bell peppers -- can't stand the taste, can't stand the smell, can't stand the texture.
I like the flavor of onion, but I'm not particularly fond of the texture of raw onions.
I hate stale food. And exotic meat.
Egg, potato, and chicken salads. I don't like mayonnaise at all. I also agree on the tuna melt. Icky.
Tripe, intestines, liver, brain, tendons etc. (basically any animal's
innards).
Bleu cheese, eggs that aren't fully cooked, globs of mayo, meat that is still
pink/red, or still has blood or veins in it.
Also, I really hate duck, goat, rabbit, shrimp, lobster, crab, mussels, oysters, and anything pork.
COTTAGE CHEESE!! Oh god.. Just the look of it makes me want to vomit. Liver; Veal; Mayonnaise; Any sort of meat product that has bones in it (T-bone steak, chicken wings, etc..); Peas. Eww.
i ahte extremely dried food that sticks to your tongue and is hard to eat
