Daily Q: Peanut Butter Or Chocolate?
I thought of this after I had been perusing the tons of awesome submissions y'all have been sending in and this one was just taunting me. Though I could perceive its scrumptiousness, I was not tempted by it. Not in the least. In fact-I was repulsed. You see, years ago, I subsisted solely on peanut butter was once a normal American child.
But sometime later, in college, during either the horrific aftermath of an intoxicant-binge or a cigarette-fueled fit of anti-comfort-food-nausea I realized I could never eat peanut butter again. It was like waking up blind or naked in the woods-like I knew some integral part of me was missing. I just suddenly realized it was too creamy, too peanuty, too buttery, too-UGH-I-JUST-CAN'T, y'know?
Oh, you don't? Well I don't really know either, I just know I've hated peanut butter since that day and staring at that cake was like watching the post-trauma of a car which had overturned several times off the highway and landed upside down in a river-horrific, scary, confounding, but you can't stop staring. You're just trying to wrap your head around it-it makes me feel so icky and yet I keep exposing myself to it. Why? WHY!?!?!
I just--can't.
Anywho, since I randomly gave up one of the world's two best ingredients, I wondered-if y'all had to choose one or the other, which one would it be?

choco
i would rather give up peanut butter.
chocolate ftw

Chocolate
BTW, I think Reese's Peanut Butter Cups suck. Peanut butter should be creamy, not dry and crumbly. Chocolate should be smooth and not grainy, like the sugar hasn't been completely dissolved. I can make better peanut butter cups at home.
I'd give up peanut butter.
Wh-hooo chocolate~ !!
Chocolate!
I'm actually the opposite of you! I used to hate, hate, HATE peanut butter as a youth. Then one day, I watched this show where a character was obsessed with peanut butter sandwiches. I made one for myself, and I've been loving the creamy stuff ever since!
Anyways, to answer your question, even though I love my peanut butter, I love me some chocolate more! I would give up peanut butter for chocolate.
I'd give up peanut butter.
chocolate no doubt.
I'd give up peanut butter. I like it alright, but I couldn't live without chocolate. :)
I'd give up peanut butter :D I don't like it at all.
What is wrong with you people? Peanut butter is the greatest thing on sliced bread, which is the greatest thing ever. There's no competition.
I'm a PB-man, tried, true, forever.
I'd give up peanut butter. Chocolate would be much harder to avoid. It's everywhere.
I'd give up peanut butter, but I would hate it. Chocolate and peanut butter were made for each other.
Chocolate.
I really dislike things like Reese's where it's chocolate AND peanut butter... That's so gross to me. But sometimes, rarely, it tastes fine to me. I only like peanut butter when it's with jelly. They were meant to be together.
i can't choose one or the other, i like them both.
um both? hello? there are no two flavors on the planet more suited for one another.
I'd choose peanut butter.
I prefer chocolate, dark chocolate.
Chocolate and peanut butter are both pretty much amazing, but I prefer chocolate over PB.
Chocolate. I'm not a big fan of peanut butter, the less of it the better.
