Spring Break - Ready to Cook!
(Ratatouille is currently my favorite movie. I know, right? My sister and I freak whenever he makes the mini omelet.)
Turns out my parents are going on a four day vacation to Niagara Falls, leaving me free reign of my kitchen and a very well stocked pantry (my mom is a cook).
What should I make? I'm looking for delicious and healthy recipes every beginning chef should try.
Here are a few things on my list:
-Fancy Cupcakes (pastry bags, designs, royal icing, etc)
-My first loaf of bread
-Cook a souffle without deflating it
-Poach an egg
-Cook fish perfectly
-Biscotti (I'm on a biscotti kick!)I'm also looking to plan a dinner party with my friends. I will be posting my results. :)
What kinds of things are easy to put together/bring? All recipes and recipe websites appreciated!

Casseroles!
There are a lot of food bloggers out there--people from all sorts of places and stages of life. There's a lot of quick videos on hulu.com from the Food Network for some easy simple ideas.
P.S. I also squeal when I see the Remy-sized omelet on Ratatouille. ;)
Lol. If you want something tasty and healthy I'd try making some Braised cabbage and apples. It's super good and pretty.
