Puppy Chow is YUMMMMY!
My favorite food in the whole wide world is puppy chow! Its so addicting! I usually make it for my birthday or around a holiday just because when I make a batch, its gone in about an hour. Its peanut buttery, chocolatey, sugary goodness!
Puppy Chow
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1/4 cup Butter
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
9 cups Crispix cereal
1-1/2 cups Powdered SugarInstructions:
1. Combine peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl.
2. Microwave for one minute then stir to blend all ingredients thoroughly. Add 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Stir well.
3. Place the 9 cups of Crispix cereal in a very large bowl.
4. Pour the peanut butter-chocolate mixture over the cereal and toss evenly, making sure all the cereal gets a good covering.
5. Coat with powdered sugar, sprinkling evenly over the cereal and tossing as you sprinkle to cover each piece well.
What's your favorite dessert type food? Have you ever eaten puppy chow?

I thought you were talking about actual dog food at first, haha.
I'd make that though! It sounds delicious. I'm probably biased because I LOVE anything peanut butter + chocolate
I LOVED this stuff in grade school! I got introduced to it be a summer camp best friend one year, she and I would sit and eat it, grossing out all the other kids at camp who thought it was actually dog food. The best part? We wouldn't have to share! :P
ooo. this sounds like a good idea for my boyfriend and I to make when I visit him next week. thanks for the recipe!!!
My aunt makes that at Christmas time, but we don't call it Puppy Chow. And that I think about it I can't even remember what they call it..
I have made this before but it was called something else, like Monkey munch or something like that.
waaaaaayyyy too fattening
this is good stuff, I think the stuff I had like this was called "white trash" though
I thought you meant REAL dog food, and I was about to go: "I knew it!"
Sounds tasty, man.
it's amazing!
I thought you meant actual dog food. xD
This sounds pretty yummy. It sounds like something similar my grandma made with Chex cereal, chocolate, and cocoa powder...or something. Except she called it Monkey Munch. I have also discovered that corn flakes covered in melted butterscotch chips is quite delicious.
i'm gonna sound stupid for a moment, but I thought you meant the dog food too. I was about to be like, "well, kudos for you." ;)
Anyway, that DOES sound good. I'll have to try it now that I know you aren't talking about dog food.
Hehe, I was just talking about puppy chow today! It's so amazing.
I also like a sweet chex mix. It's chex mix, corn syrup, brown sugar, and butter. Very addicting.
i thought you were talking about actual dog food too haha. that sounds delicious though :)
I know another kind of Chow that's awesome.
My ex-mother in-law makes this for my kids! And they love it!!
Holy, that's not very healthy. But it looks good, for sure. (:
I love this, it's so addicting! I usually make a huge batch and then eat it all. :/
THIS STUFF IS DELICIOUS THANK YOU FOR POSTING THE RECIPE OMG YOU ARE A GODDESS
Looks so yummy! At first I thought you meant dog food.
@sarahflorida1085@xanga - LOL I've heard it called "white trash" too! But I think Puppy Chow is probably the more nicer, politically-correct term. Haha!
It's good stuff! My sister-in-law makes it every year for an after-Christmas treat!
At first I thought you were talking about actual puppy food and I was like, wow.....that's special, haha. But yeah, I've had this before and it was delicious. One of my recent favorites is Monkey Bread. It's easy to make, and tastes like heaven.
I call it Muddy Buddy and I got the recipe from a calendar. *shrugs*
omg i love this stuff! it is soo addicting. i had to stop making it because i couldn;t stop eating it. hahah
THANK YOU for posting this! Now I can finally make it :)
