Daily Q: Do You Have a Favorite Unique Food Combo?
Have you ever put cheddar cheese in your coffee? What about eating applesauce and white bread (better known as an “applesauce sandwich” to my family members)? How about cream cheese and tomato sauce? These combinations are just a few I’ve been exposed to through friends and family.
Clearly, I associate with some pretty odd people but everyone has the right to engage (and possibly abuse) their own taste buds with whatever flavors they prefer.
I, on the other hand, enjoy some universal favorites – peanut butter and chocolate, vanilla and almond, strawberry and banana. I have never even thought about marrying two unusual flavors to create an enthralling recipe to my own taste bud’s desire.
Do you have a favorite, unique food combo?

cream cheese, pickles, and a deli meat. (like roast beef or ham)
Its so good. Sooo good.
Umm. Anything in a Tortilla shell.
One time I had no bread or hamburger buns to make... well, hamburgers, but I had already made the meat. So I used tortilla shell as a replacement. It's kinda like the Mac Snack Wrap from McDonalds, only I used actually burger condiments like mustard/ketchup and etc.
So uh. Anything in a tortilla shell, really.
V8, painfully sharp cheddar cheese, and peanut butter bread.
@Your_My_Beautiful_Disgrace@xanga - my friends and i make little wraps with that stuff, except we always use salami. and those tiny bumpy pickles.
I think the only odd food combination I make is peanut butter and cheddar cheese sandwiches.
@Nevando@hardestlevel - WHOA my school does the exact same thing! lol......spare hamburger enchiladas.
They're not half bad though, since it gives a lot more texture than just a plain bun. Actually....I prefer them now XD
My weird thing would be mustard and hot sauce of EVERYTHING I eat. Even hot sauce on a banana. But, i only like the Sriracha brand (the one with the rooster).
french fries with gravy and mayo
Hmmm not really 'unique', but I do like to pig out on dino chicken nuggets, rice, seaweed, and curry or Korean pepper paste (gochujang).
I seem to have an affinity for various types of cooked rice and ketchup (sometimes mayo will work its way in). Even I think it sounds so wrong, but I can't help liking it.
brown rice and feta cheese!
Wasn't this already on IRLF?
cream cheese and jam, especially strawberry. yummy!
and also snickers w/ potato chips. cannot go wrong!
peanut butter & pickle sandwich
peanut butter and... anything! Peanut butter and oatmeal, peanut butter and grapes, peanut butter and carrots, peanut butter and peppers, peanut butter and popcorn.... :) peanut butter is love.
is this odd or do people do this: cream cheese w/ salsa as a chip dip? yumm
pickle w/ salami, butter, and hard boiled egg on toast = breakfast
Potato chips and applesauce. Honest, it's like apple pie if you use the cinnamon flavored applesauce!
jus'me
cm
haha i have a friend who dips potato chips in oj. very strange to me but he <3 it
I ran out of soy sauce one day and put jalapeno juice in my rice, it was awesome. Also potato chips dipped in chocolate is pretty good. And a peanut butter sandwich with cinnamon! AND pizza dipped in nacho cheese! YUM!
on the way to colorado..from wisco my dad wouldnt get us any food or something.. and we were hungry.. so we made chip sandwhiches with ruffles, bread, and cheese. lol.. umm as a kid i invented hot buttered bread.. wed butter bread and put it in the microwave.. prolly pretty fattening.. im puttin franks red hot sauce on just about everything these days lol..
Peanut butter and red onion sandwich.
@msnatalie27@xanga - my family mixes cream cheese and salsa, sometimes with relish too. they love it, i hate it :P lol.
i for one am not that adventurous with my food! the farthest i go is corn and mashed potatoes mixed together lol.
however, my ENTIRE family eats a slice of cheese melted over their apple pie...weird!
i like to eat apples with cottage cheese. most fruits taste good with cottage cheese.
as children, my father made us peanut-butter and dill pickle sandwhiches. it's not my favorite food but it's a unique food that i like.
Dipping potato chips in cottage cheese, peaches w/ cottage cheese, dipping french fries in mayo on occasion, and bananas with tomato sauce (I discovered the latter from an episode of Doug on Nickelodeon when I was a kid haha). MMMMM
that picture is disgusting.
i don't have any unique food combination, i just eat almost anything. it just has to taste good.
Peanut butter + digestive biscuits = yumm :).. although it doesnt sound as bizarre as some of you guys' combos.. I also like mixing sauces.. Ketchup + Mayonnaise / Mayonnaise + mustard. yum heeehee
