7 Types of Eaters
Today I was thinking about the different categories one could fall into when it comes to defining eating habits. After considering the infinite possibilities, I attempted to summarize eating habits into 7 categories. The Regular Eater
Regular Eaters nonchalantly eat breakfast, lunch and dinner without giving it a second thought. They enjoy going out to eat but do not obsessively study the menu before they visit the restaurant (like I do) and they don’t know the difference between a Habanero and a Jalapeno.
The Unhealthy Eater
Potato chips for breakfast, a liter of soda for lunch, pizza as a snack and cake for dinner; the Unhealthy Eater lives life on the edge. They’ve never stepped foot into a gym and know the coordinates of every fast food joint in town.
The Healthy Eater
Healthy Eaters love vegetables. They know which vitamins can be found in a mango and how much fiber there is in beans. They adore exploring the farmer’s market for organic fare and try to cook and eat at home as much as possible to avoid the massive amounts of sodium lurking in restaurant meals.
The Diet Eater
A Diet Eater may appear to be a Health Eater because they often discuss fat content and meeting their 5-a-day requirements. When they break out the Lean Cuisine or just coffee for breakfast, you quickly realize they aren’t focused on health as much as they are focused on losing weight and cutting calories.
Adventurous Eater
The Adventurous Eater will eat anything. From clay to monkey glands to cuy, this Eater has had it all. Nothing is off limits.
Squeamish Eater
Adventurous Eaters they are not. The Squeamish Eater will live off of chicken breast and white Wonder Bread with no interest in touching their lips to red meat or a mushroom.
Vegetarian Eater
I give these eaters a lot of credit. I could never quit my cheeseburger addiction. Vegetarian Eaters do not eat meat whether it is for religious practice, moral reasons or because they believe it is healthier to avoid the consumption of meat.
Note: I have encountered faux-vegetarians; those who claim they do not eat meat because they think its cool but run home and secretly binge on bacon all night.
While I bounce between some of these, most of the time I lean towards Healthy Eater who will inhale the occasional cupcake.
Can you think of any other categories of eaters? Which type of eater are you?

I'm probably a cross between the regular eater and the unhealthy eater. Depends on the day/time.
I'm not sure what I am.
I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (The Regular Eater)
I also eat a few small snacks / meals in between.
I only drink water but junk food is my weakness!
People have told me that this is a very healthy way to eat. (Besides the junk food)
?!?!
But who knows...
I'm a healthy and vegan eater :D
healthy eater
healthy/vegetarian.
not faux vegetarian either, straight vegetarian. :D
Hmmm. I'm not sure. I tend to like to eat 3 meals a day. Although breakfast is usually ensure and a banana. But I do tend to snack unhealthly sometimes between meals. So I guess I can be considered a regular eater... (buuut I study menu's (because I like too) and I love to cook soo I know the diff. between a jalepeno and habenero =P)
I'm a healthy and vegetarian eater. I guess I could be a "regular" eater sometimes, too. I go through streaks where I lose my appetite, and I force myself to eat just because I know I need to. I don't care or think much about my food at that point, but I'm still pretty knowledgeable about what I'm putting into my body.
I eat healthy, unhealthy, and adventurously.
vegetarian eater all the time. healthy eater usually (except when i see dark chocolate cross my path...on anything. so maybe i'm an adventurous eater when dessert is involved)
I'm a Mom Eater. I eat what I can when I can. Sometimes that means mac & cheese, sometimes it means a salad. Sometimes I eat only once a day, and snack in-between.
I'm a healthy dieter. lol
im a unhelathy, adventurous, and regular eater, but i live with a sqeamish eater that really only eats chicken. makes for a interesting debate on the nights menu. haha.
@piratexXxlove@xanga - Second that: healthy & vegan
I feel like that typically, though not always, goes hand in hand with understanding where our food comes from and what that means for us and the environment, (and humane treatment being in there as well).
Compulsive undereater! But I want to be a healthy eater!
im a regular eater trying to be a vegetarian eater.
People think I'm a health freak, but I'm just a diet freak.
i just eat :|
I can be all of those given the occasion.
What if you're a vegetarian eater because you just don't like meat?
I'm an adventurous eater, but, unfortunately, I'm also a bored eater (that is to say, I eat when I'm bored).
I don't fit into any of these categories.
I'm considered a "garbage disposal" -eater.

i am regular/unhealthy/healthy/diet eater/adventourus eater
i think i'm all of the above depending on the day of the month/mood
Adventurous mostly. I've been taught from a young age to try anything and everything at least once.
