Fresh-N-Fast Burger: East Coast Response to In-N-Out
Here in NYC and its fringes, we've never been able to ignore the endless rumblings about the famed West Coast fast foodery In-N-Out.The East Coast has only recently taken measures of retaliation by creating the buzzed-about East Coast burger joint Fresh-N-Fast. For NYC'ers: you can check it out on 23rd and Park. But, those of you who are too far away-like, in California-will just have to salivate at the thought of *our* burger haven, for once.
Unless any of you have ever been to In-N-Out. Apparently Fresh-N-Fast utilizes an almost identical logo and menu.
That the actual food is said to taste exactly like its counterpart (an aspect of fast food doppelgangery that is often lost somewhere along the way) from the West Side is just icing on the cake of copy-cattery, and though I'll never eat at either of these places, I can't help but wonder why In-N-Out never graced the East with its presence.Clearly, they won't even care about the imitation which may have crossed some lines of copyright infringement because they don't care about the money they're not attaining by not being on this side of the Mississippi-if they did they'd have been here themselves by now.
Would you go to Fresh-N-Fast? What do you think of food establishments copying others' signature recipes?

The menu from Fresh n Fast is so fucken expensive I can get like 7 crappy cheese burgers from Mc Donald's for the price of one double. In n Out is awesome.
Pah! Copycats!
Looks like something you'd see in China, not something a reputable business owner would do.
It's like McDowell's.
"They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big
Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special
sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame
seeds. My buns have no seeds."
How about a Fresh and Furious? It can be like... salads and soups with fast cars and Vin Diesel clones as workers.
I go to LA once in a while to visit family, and cannot leave until I get in n out! It's so much cheaper than the DMV area and so much better!
Copycats. In N Out is where it's at!
They never graced the east coast because it's family-owned and a California-local treasure.
I want me a double with a milkshake with animal-style fries right about now.
>D

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so Thank you! (Imitating prices would probably help out a lot though!)
I wouldn't call In 'n Out west coast. They are only in California. There are none in Oregon or Washington, or Indiana for that matter
@scrambledmegsntoast@xanga - No, they're actually also in Arizona and Nevada. I've never been there though.
Personally I'd have to try fresh-n-fast to judge but I think I will stick with In-N-Out... there's one down the street! Haha. Animal friessss..... *drool*
Wow: 8 dollars for a double double? GODDAMN.
why is a double cheeseburger 2.99 at in-n-out and 7.29 at fast-n-fresh...
ridiculous..?
look at the ridiculous price difference. O_O *craves in-n-out.*
omgg in n out should sue them for copying!
LOL look at the differences in the prices! West Coast In-N-Out will ALWAYS be the best
dumb.
HAHAH SERIOUSLY WHY DIDN'T IN-N-OUT MAKE IT TO THA EAST COAST??
In and out is still actually family owned... They haven't gone "corporate" yet so I'm assuming that's the reason why they haven't globalized across the world to storm the fast food industry. Seriously though, not even fresh and fast can beat In and Out. The price difference?!?! That's whats so great about in and out, it's cheap and it's still quality! I've never been to an In and Out where it was dead. Every single In and Out joint is popping and ridiculously busy alllllllllll the time. ANIMAL FRIES.... The one in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf must be hands down the craziest In and Out ever. I'm sorry that the east coast doesn't have In and Out...but not really because if it spread...the taste and quality might go down..so just move to California.
@DaRkDestinyNite@xanga - @swtaznxtc90@xanga - @skinandbones_foryou@xanga - @MissPixieGlitter@xanga - @SaraLim@xanga - the price diff might also have to do with Fresh-N-Fast opening in NYC, city is just generally out of control expensive
LOL @@IN_N_OUT_BURGER - why aren't you on the east side though?
@arenadi@xanga - this is an amazing idea. i could definitely get behind Fast-N-Furious!!
@Sam - good to know!
@arenadi@xanga - omg that would be the coolest idea... fresh and furiousss!! i like it..
I lived on the east coast my whole life. my sister and I have always been die hard fans of the whopper from burger king whenever we have had a burger craving. But since she moved to cali, i went to visit her last year and she told me about the in and out burgers and how they are the best burger she's ever tasted... so i had to try one for myself... and she was right... im a converted and true fan of in and out burgers... copycats suck.
Maybe it's the same corporation? Just a different chain?
And if fast and fresh is in NYC, it explains the high prices. Even Mcdonald's is expensive there.
dude, that does cross a line ... it's one thing to be inspired and want to bring that to new areas, but that is just distasteful and wrong
but at least the East Coast will have something like In-n-Out now
so when are we (California) going to get some White Castle? i will not complain at all if someone starts a West Coast version of White Castle just so i can finally taste some of those tiny burgers
woahhhh! totally mirror images. mmm this is making me want animal style fries right now *drool* sucks that there's no in-n-out in santa cruz ughhh, gotta go over the hill to san jose for it -_-
FALSE. In-N-Out = BEST.
