  • Fresh-N-Fast Burger: East Coast Response to In-N-Out

Here in NYC and its fringes, we've never been able to ignore the endless rumblings about the famed West Coast fast foodery In-N-Out.

The East Coast has only recently taken measures of retaliation by creating the buzzed-about East Coast burger joint Fresh-N-Fast. For NYC'ers: you can check it out on 23rd and Park. But, those of you who are too far away-like, in California-will just have to salivate at the thought of *our* burger haven, for once.

Unless any of you have ever been to In-N-Out. Apparently Fresh-N-Fast utilizes an almost identical logo and menu.

That the actual food is said to taste exactly like its counterpart (an aspect of fast food doppelgangery that is often lost somewhere along the way) from the West Side is just icing on the cake of copy-cattery, and though I'll never eat at either of these places, I can't help but wonder why In-N-Out never graced the East with its presence.

Clearly, they won't even care about the imitation which may have crossed some lines of copyright infringement because they don't care about the money they're not attaining by not being on this side of the Mississippi-if they did they'd have been here themselves by now.

Would you go to Fresh-N-Fast? What do you think of food establishments copying others' signature recipes?
