Daily Q: Do You Have a Go-To Hot Sauce?
When it comes to hot sauce, I don't usually play favorites; whatever's on hand will do. Yet there are some true partisans out there on this one – those who put Tabasco in their breakfast cereal, Frank's Red die-hards, etc.
Do you have a go-to hot sauce for all occasions?

We always keep Sriracha around. It's the BEST.
@bundleoflisa@xanga - That's what I was going to say!!! It is soooooooo good! I love that stuff.
Frank's Buffalo Sauce. but I only use hot sauce for buffalo wings.
Tabasco Chipotle AND Mild Jalepeno sauce. Used almost every other day. On the off-days, it's Sriacha.
I really haven't tried a ton, but I really like Cholula.
smeagol buys all my groceries.
ooh yessss franks red hot and sriracha ftw
Red hot, for sure. And my sister had this garlic sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings. That was pretty awesome, too.
I think at any given time I have about 10 different hot sauces in my pantry. I like playing with them. I've been making them recently as well.
My favorite is Tapatio, though for a really spicy kick I do the occasional Tabasco Brand Habanero sauce.
Frank's Red Hot is my favorite. I also like Tabasco's jalapeno sauce (I like the taste better than their original).
El Yucateco Chile Habanero Hot Sauce
or sirachi sauce
@lewk@xanga - cholula ftw! I like it much better than Tabasco :]
Tobasco.. I thought there was only one kind/brand lol. oh SNAP.
I've had it in cereal fo sho. That's how us southerns be doin it.
tabasco.. and in india Maggi makes this flavor of ketchup called hot and sweet. it's really good...
My favorite is Frank's Red Hot.
sriacha is the best, in my book!
I make my own hot sauces - special blend.
Sriracha is always around for pho & other Vietnamese dishes, so is Frank's Hot Sauce for wings or just American styled food, and regular Vietnamese hot sauce (pepper cooked in oil) for most Asian dishes.
Sriracha - two kinds, the regular pepper one, Chili Garlic Sauce, and the paste like sauce used in pho, Hot Chili Sauce.
I'm not sure if the Chili Garlic Sauce is Sriracha or not but the bottle also says by Huey Fong. I used it more than Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce since I grow up with it mostly used only for Pho.
sriracha, tapatio & cholua
If I use a hot sauce, it's Tabasco.
Um, texas pete anyone? That's the best!
Sirancha is the ultimate. I like Tobasco sauce too but I'm not a fan of Frank's. The spicy to salty ratio is a bit off.
Louisiana Hot Sauce is my favorite! <3
Pico Pica. It's the only kind I'll buy because it's not full of vinegar or salt like other hot sauces have, to give the "illusion" of being spicy. It's mostly chili peppers and water.
