I have definitely found the best cupcake I will ever eat. Magnolia Bakery - Cupcakes from Heaven! That should be their tagline. I had these cupcakes for the first time back in September and I was lucky enough to experience them again this past Wednesday. My fiance and our friends surprised me with a dozen of them for my birthday on the 13th. It was the best birthday cake anyone could ask for.
Three of each flavor: Red Velvet, Banana Nut, Vanilla, and Chocolate. The frosting is AH-MAZING! My fiance isn't a big fan of frosting in general and even he liked these. It's definitely the frosting that makes these irresistible. I also appreciate the size. They aren't humongous like some others. They are so pretty to look at and you can see the hand crafted work put into each one.
I haven't tried anything else from Magnolia, but if they are anything like these cupcakes, then I am sure to be a frequent customer.
Honestly I am huge chocolate fan, but surprisingly I think my favorite would have to be the vanilla. The vanilla cupcake was the very first one that I had ever had and it blew me away! These cupcakes are worth indulging in. I am having trouble not eating them all in one day!
Have you ever had Magnolia Cupcakes? What is the best cupcake you've ever had?

where is it at? i've never heard of magnolia before.
Magnolia is so delicious. I know people here in CA love Sprinkles, but Magnolia blows them out of the water.
Magnolia is located in NYC.
try the oreo icebox cake if you love chocolate. IT IS THE BEST EVER
Magnolia cupcakes are dry as all hell. If you want a good NYC cupcake, go to Crumbs. Much, much better.
never had but according to my friend, magnolia was..eh. crumbs is better.
THEY ARE SO GOOD.
I hear the banana pudding is yummy too :DDo they have other locations or do they deliver across the country?
I like Crumbs.
I've never had those.
My favorite pre-made cupcakes come from Edgar's. x]
I love making my own, though!
man im so jealous cuz i have this weird obession with cupcakes!
I can't eat cupcakes right now :(
they look cute though :)
u know from the looks of it, the frostings are really buttery. and my experience is that any baked good that is really good has a lot of butter in it. i think i'd be a super chef if i could make myself use more butter. any chefs can confirm?
@Shy___Away@xanga -@fried_ryce@xanga - @Coffeebee@xanga - Hooray for the underground Crumbs club! Magnolia's only good until you've had Crumbs!
the red velvet from there. YUMM.
red velvet cupcakes from magnolia are pure sex
I've never been there before, but I really like Sprinkles.
Magnolia's? yes. Crumbs? yes.... but Sugar Sweet Sunshine tops them all! The hidden jewel of nyc :)
Sugar Sweet Sunshine (a few blocks east) is totally better. OMFG, you will never want to go back and eat Magnolia again.
i love cupcakes but i've never had magnolia. i used to go to a place called Whipt Cream that had some good cupcakes. but they're so far from where i live. then a cupcake place opened up like 5 minutes from my house, and theirs are even better! Yummy and Co. really though, i'll eat any cupcake. even the ones at starbucks that have been sitting all day lol.
I've had Magnolia before and their cupcakes are incredible! The icing is to die for and wow, I'd go back anytime when I'm in NYC!
I don't really like cake. I have never tried any "gourmet" type cupcakes. If I'm going to indulge, I would rather have some Krispy Kreme.
Taste and price-wise, are these better than Crumbs cupcakes?
I Want some :(
Ah they're so good! My friend took me there one day after class. AHGJGHKSDGKSG I think I'll make a stop next time :]
Molly's cupcakes in Chicago is where it's at.
