Favorite Football Party Foods (And a Recipe)
Everybody knows football and snacks go hand in hand. With the Superbowl coming up it's time to start planning your favorite snack recipe to bring to the party. The quintessential game food is something that can be grazed on throughout the whole game and will stay just as fresh as when it was first put out.Pizza is great because most people are hungry and it is quite filling, but after only one piece there is always room for a few other snacks. Something like chili would be too much in my opinion. I eat a bowl of chili and I'm done! It's basically a whole meal.
My favorite snack by far are pretzels and french onion dip. They go perfectly together. Dips in general are good party foods because they don't need to be hot in order to be served. Trail mix is another good one for the same reasons. It's crunchy and salty and can be washed down nicely with a cold beer.
Many people LOVE hot wings for football parties! This would be an example of something likely to be cold and not as tasty by the end of the game. But, because people love these so much, I highly doubt there will be any left by the end of the game. I don't think these babies even have time to get cold. They are inhaled quicker than you can say football.
I will actually be making this onion dip recipe, courtesy of Alton Brown for my Birthday celebration this weekend.
Ingredients- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups diced onions
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
In a saute pan over medium heat add oil, heat and add onions and salt. Cook the onions until they are caramelized, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Mix the rest of the ingredients, and then add the cooled onions. Refrigerate and stir again before serving.
What are your favorite party snacks?

I am a big fan of artichoke dip. It's the perfect blend of creamy and tangy.
I love spinach dip with rye bread. We usually serve it in a bread bowl.
chicken XD
The french onion dip is simply exquisite. I remember the last Pfizer's Christmas party, they had so many exotic snacks and there was one huge plate of dip with little generic viagra pills... I don't know if they were real, but the people on the party was way too much exited! ; ) if69
Excellent recipe in order to get fun during the superbowl , that's incredible because we can watch the game, share with our friends and also buy Generic Viagra to adding a plus to the meeting.
