I only know how to throw a roti canai dough. See the pro does it here.
Yeah I did throw a pizza at home. Got a bit messy though what with the tomatoes on the ceiling and the mozzarella behind the fridge
Erm... there's no video here?
@arenadi@xanga - My bad. Something went nuts in the html.
ahhhh. I so want to do that!
Yes I have done it but I don't have a stove hot enough to make a good pizza at home.
The video is very good.Thanks.
@thetilde@xanga - Ah, there we go. Thank you.
Good video, I didn't know this technique. I think I'll try this now.
That technique is really slow and time consuming. just round it out on the table, make an edge, throw it from hand to hand a few times and a quick toss in the air, fix your edge if you need too, and then its perfect. it only took me about an hour to learn to do this, and its pretty easy to do.
I work at a pizza place, watching someone do this makes it look so easy but it is actually kind of hard to get it right the first couple of times. It's fun though -- cool video :D
I really have no desire to try my hand at throwing pizza dough. I guess I have seen way too many comedies where someone has thrown the dough up in the air, and when they looked up, it promptly draped itself all over their face.
crazy.
I make pizzas all the time, use a marble rolling pin though - I'd LOVE to toss it, afraid it would hit the floor - my dough is never that stretchy - trying to think how I could fake it without the magic starter he uses - anyway picked up some nice tips and enjoyed very much, thanks - I'd also love to be able to make the crust very thin as that one was -
