Domino's Changing Pizza Recipe
I'm biased, okay, very biased, but there are some fans out there that do like chain pizza, so I thought I'd break the news to you.
Domino's Pizza is changing their recipe, for a better one.
"2010 will be our 50th year in the business, and we are kicking it off with the most aggressive promotion in the history of our company,” said Domino’s Chairman and CEO David A. Brandon. “This is the biggest product introduction we’ve done since…well, pizza.”
The primary changes include:· Crust - A garlic seasoned crust with parsley baked to a golden brown.
· Sauce - Sweeter, bolder tomato sauce with a medley of herbs and a red pepper kick.
· Cheese - Shredded cheese made with 100% real mozzarella and flavored with just a hint of provolone."
The new recipe pizza will be rolling out on December 27th.
As New Yorker I'm very picky about my pizza and chain food pizza is something I cringe about, however, if I start hearing some positive reviews about the new pizza, maybe I'll give it a try.
How do you feel about chain food pizza? Are you going to try out Domino's new pizza?

Eh, maybe. I'm not a fan of Dominos as it is now (too bland and boring) but maybe this will be a change for the better.
I guess we'll have to see. They're not known to make pizzas with a bold type of taste like Papa John's or Pizza Hut so we'll see how this works.
I didn't like Dominos before, but I'm hoping for an improvement in their new recipe. I will probably continue to get my pizza from small, local businesses, though.
i really hate the bread. it's too much for little shit on top.
Pizza Hutt is my favourite. And I doubt the recipe will be changed here.
We don't even have a Domino's here. I don't know why they air their commercials in my area.
The nearest Domino's went out of business a few years ago. It was decent, inexpensive pizza. It sounds like the new recipe will be even better, but sadly there are no Domino's around here.
they've started rolling out that new crust already
it's an upgrade from the bland stuff for sure
garlic breadsticks for crusts = i'll eat the crusts lol
Honestly, the new one sucks. They just started using it at my local Dominos, and I can't stand it. The old one was so much better.
I hate statements like "I hate chain food pizza"!!!! No offense but as their are regional chains and you are from NEW YORK there is NO WAY you could have tried them all!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you are judging things you have never tried and possibly never will, because of a few that you have tried!
Why don't you try losing that attitude of yours? I am so sick of this type of attitude and these types of posts! the I hate blank, but it's a general statement and no way possible to have actually tried all of something to make the statement true.
My favorite pizza in the world is a LOCAL CHAIN, located only in my region, down now to under 6 stores left, where it used to be the BIGGEST in my area with almost a hundred. Restaurants like Pizza Hut and Dominos honestly changed their recipes several years ago for the worse, so I don't eat them anymore.
There are some chains that have pretty good pizza! I do get papa Johns sometimes. Most of the time I get local stuff though.
Hmm. I think I'll try it and then see if I like it. And I don't really have anything against chain food pizza really.
My fiance and I ordered some this weekend. I didn't know it already changed but it has and it tastes pretty good. I don't think it's *that* much different, really..The crust tastes better. More garlic-y. Otherwise I think I just taste a bit more tomato. It kind of has a spicy aftertaste to it that I don't think it had before, but it's still really good.
I don't like their old pizza recipe so I might try the new one.
The crust got me, I would give them a try, why not!?
I would be willing to give it a try, although I am partial to Papa John's. (I live in Louisville, and I can remember when Papa John's was just a local chain.)
domino's!! they used to have it in singapore about.. 12years ago. and they disappeared out of the blue. i miss their pizzas!!! Especially the garlic bread twist. BEST EVER - so far no pizza company surpass them in the garlic bread twist department!! somebody please fedex some to me..
i love dominos
Awww! I love their sauce the way it is :(
I haven't had dominoes in ages.
I'd give it a try if they had some discount or something. Otherwise i'll probably stick to just Old Chicago dollar slice Tuesdays.
Dominos is yummy! I hope they don't change the taste too much. I love 5 Buck Pizza hahaha I guess I'm not hard to please ;)
i've already had their new pizza. it's very very very different. i don't recommend it... that that's coming from an avid domino's pizza fan. :/
They've already been using this recipe where I live. I've never really liked Domino's pizza. I changed my mind when I had their new recipe. I ended up over-indulging. =)
i'll end up eating it without realizing cause that's what my brother and his friends get all the time when they come over. hope it's good
cool, hopefully it will taste good. I will give it a shot. I mean if they can top pizzahut's pan pizza, then its a winner :)
