DailyQ: What's the Best Smell When You Walk Into A Kitchen?
When I wake up in the weekend morning, my mom always makes us fresh pancakes with either apples or blueberries. It is one of the best smells in the morning and just makes everyone in the household salivate. BUT....
when my mom makes the short ribs with tonkatsu sauce, hands down it is the best smell ever. I end up eating at least three servings for dinner.

For me, it's anything cajun... cajun smells make me melt ^_^
The smell of an aged, seasoned wok being blasted by 150,000BTU of fire.
The smell of a freshly sharpened high carbon steel Yanagi-ba-bocho.
Chopped up bell peppers.
Carne asada. Which reminds me I haven't had some in a while.
Anything savory or sickly sweet.
I'm not even that into sweets, but when it comes to smell, there's nothing that gets me as much as brownies do.
O~ I'd have to say tacos-- when I really think about it I like the smell of pumpkin pie, and sausage and eggs. I know there is more though, I just can't think of it.
Spaghetti sauce. It lingers on the second floor of my house for a while and it's amazing.
Bacon.
Oooh, so many things! I think I've got to say the best is brownies, but there are so many other good kitchen smells as well.
Dessert.
Curry!
Or pumpkin pie/pumpkin bread.
Coffee, sweets, and cucumber.

Matzo ball soup.

My mom used to make homemade bread once a month when we were growing up, so when we would get home from school and walk in the front door we would smell it. And during christmas time the smell of homemade cookies :) *drooling* I think I am going to try to make some homemade bread tomorrow... =D
