I'm not a big fan of the golden arches but I might actually enjoy eating there if there was more variety in the menus. As a hobby of mine, I like to go to international websites and look at fast food chain's menus. I envy other countries that have better food items than what is offered here in the US.
Let's take a look what the US is missing out on.
Japan Ebi Fillet (The Shrimp Fillet) Sandwich: A crispy shrimp fillet with the secret sauce with lettuce. Puts the Fillet O'Fish to shame!
Teriyaki McBurger: I really want to try this one, it's a beef patty with teriyaki sauce and Japanese mayo.
McPork: A pork patty with pepper-ginger-soy-vinaigrette.
Salad McMuffin: Pretty interesting for a morning sandwich. Looks like a BLT to me.
McHot Dog Mega Sausage: Yes, that's a hot dog! And it's only in the morning menu.
The Mega Trios (Mega Egg McMuffin, Mega Mac, Mega Teriyaki)
Hong Kong/China Grilled Chicken Burger: Seasoned with 5 spice power, onion, pepper, with lettuce and "chargrill" sauce
McRice: Chicken between two rice patties
McSpicy Pork Sandwich
From the morning menu, the Ham and Egg Pie
Chocolate Pie: This isn't a sandwich, but it looks good. *drool*
In China the sandwiches are about the same in Hong Kong, but they have more choices in dessert such as
taro pie and pineapple pie. And their morning menu has a traditional Chinese soup entree with chicken or eggs.
I'll post more food items from other countries some time in the future.
What foods did you expect to see from those menus? Do you think these sandwiches would well sell in the US?

I would love to try the shrimp one and the rice burger.
The chocolate pie looks delicious.
the shrimp sandwich looks amazing!
Chocolate Pie is definately YUMMY =)
They have some pretty nifty items in Hawaii McD's that I'd never seen before here...
Even in Hawai'i we have regional variations. That Teriyaki McBurger/ McTeri is something that's a regular item on our menus.
We also have different variations on the Fried Apple Pie here: Coconut, Taro, Peach.
We have special breakfasts as well; including a Paniolo Breakfast that uses Portuguese Sausage (like Chorizo), Scrambled Eggs with Rice and Soy Sauce. Our Breakfasts also have a choice of SPAM as meat.
the rice one looks good :)
the shrimp fillet looks yummy
I hardly eat fastfood for good reason, but some of these do seem "healthy", so maybe when I travel abroad I will try 'em, but that's a BIG maybe ;)
I would try the teriyaki, grilled chicken burger, and chocolate pie!
When I was in Taiwan for the summer, they had the four-patty Big Mac. It was epic!
i live in hong kong. they've got really weird menus sometimes. there used to be shake shake fries, like, you dump your fries into a bag, open a packet of seasoning (spicy or honey or seaweed) and dump it in and then shake it so it coats the fries evenly. it's actually pretty cool.
i went to poland two weeks ago, and they had strawberry pie. it was cool too. so weird that you can't get some of these things here or there though. we don't have mcchicken. i miss it :(
zomg, McRICE! so awesomely asian. lol.
you forgot the amazing spicy chicken wings in HK
yummmmmm
I've eaten at McDonald's in India and Puerto Rico. It was really interesting to see the differences. For example. Most indians are hindu, which means that they don't eat beef. In India the McDonald has no hamburgers......no beef at all...just strictly chicken and fries mainly...
It was interesting:)
@azashi@xanga - i remember those shake shake fries =D
oh my goodness. last year i went to China two years ago and i vividly remember going down to the McDonalds almost every night for a late night snack. I definitely like their menu better than here!
@JoeytheGenie@xanga - PRECISELY.
aahh i remember going to china years ago and gorging myself on fast food. i loved the spicy chicken sandwiches/wings/etc.
..and traditional chinese food, i guess.
Yum!
omg. i want. -.-
omg!!i want to try the teriyaki one!
the grilled chicken was delicious, but the rice one wasn't i expected.Âwow i totally want to try all of them
I want that chocolate pie thing. And the teriyaki burger. Actually, all of them, but maybe not that rice bun thing.
The only thing that looks good to me is the chocolate pie.
