Daily Q: How Far Will You Travel This Thanksgiving?
Since going home home requires about nine hours of airline travel each way, I'll be taking a much shorter two-hour bus ride to visit relatives in a border state.
Where will you be going for Thanksgiving? How far will you travel to get there?

gonna walk down the block to my neighbor's house to freeload some good food.
About half an hour to a cousin's house. A bunch of people on my dad's side of the family come. There's lots of great food.
Hmm. I'm actually not sure I'm doing anything for Thanksgiving this year.
Less than an hour in order to go to my uncle's house. I'm already bracing myself to eat non-stop all day. :D
Well, we were planning on driving 5 hours to be with my family over Thanksgiving but then the devil that is Cracker Barrel was forcing us to work Thanksgiving day. Now, we're going to drive the 20 minutes to my parents fiance's house and then TRY (keyword here is TRY, if Cracker Barrel decides to ever let us have a day off) to spend Christmas with my parents.
Nowhere. I'm hosting.
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Aw, if I still lived in Cali, I'd invite you over for Thanksgiving :)
You could even strap a penguin to your head.
@chow - lol! I just imagined how much it would creep your guests out, if some random chick showed up on your doorstep with a penguin tied to her face.
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Someone else's guests? Probably. My guests? Not at all.
I am, after all, the guy that likes getting punched in the face for fun, wears tuxedos, and has a talking bear. Hang with me, and you get used to the weird. A random girl with a penguin strapped to her head wouldn't cause much of a stir. Besides, I could always declare it a Masquerade Ball / Thanksgiving Dinner. Come eat Turkey! Wear a Costume. Make sure you tip the Mysterious Masked Bandit.
I'm staying home. The family holiday get-together will be at Christmas. And I'm scheduled to work on Thanksgiving.
As for what I'll be eating, I'll probably go to 8 China Buffet, because I know they are going to be open on Thanksgiving, and I'm in the mood for sushi.
@chow - hehe, a masked Thanksgiving would be fun. But the masks might interfere with the eating!
2 hour bus ride home from my school.. Can not wait for a home cooked meal!
2 hours away instead of 7-9.
I will be traveling from my room to the dinner table haha
4 hours...
Planned on making a 3 hour drive to spend it with my family, but those plans were changed.
Now, we're driving 45-60 minutes away to have Thanksgiving at my boyfriend's sister's house with his family.
I'm not traveling.
45 minutes to my sister's house. My parents both died this year and this is the first Thanksgiving without both of them.
Christy
flying from LA to Chicago... and leaving for the airport in an hour!!! sooo excited.
2 hours
3 hours to my Grandmother's/Auntie's/Great Grandfather's place.
I'm going about 7 feet into my kitchen :) First year on my own and my room mates and I are throwing a Thanksgiving Bash. It's gonna rock.
I'm Canadian, so we've already had our Thanksgiving festivities a month ago. Haha! =P
About six hours, round trip. I'm going from Richmond, VA to Durham, NC but I definitely would've preferred to stay at home.
@sincerely_winnie@xanga - This is a US-based site. Get used to it.
