Weekend Cocktail: Lemon Drop

My friend is coming over this weekend, and we will be doing some drinking. And this weekend's drink of choice is the Lemon Drop.
Most people who frequent the bar might have come across this beauty, though it's simple to mix at home as well. It can be made several different ways. It can even be made into a shot. This is how I'm going to make it tonight:
Ingredients:
- Absolut Citron (lemon vodka)
- Fresh Lemons
- Sugar
Directions: I'm going to cut the lemons into wedges. Inside a glass that's has been rimmed with sugar, I'm going to pour some Absolut Citron, then squeeze a wedge. I'm also going to add a wedge to the drink. Finish it off with a teaspoon or two of sugar.
For shots, I'm going to do the same thing. But have wedges dipped in sugar to use as a chaser. Sounds great doesnt it.
Have you ever made a Lemon Drop at home?

No... but I love this. More cocktail recipes please.
I have not, but this is one of my favourite drinks... and I appear to have all the ingredients on hand so it looks like I will be having one tonight with dinner =D
I like this one with a little raspberry syrup in it too... yum
You know, the Cocktail Recipe thing is a good idea. I think I'll start posting them too. They'll be mostly 151 based though =/

It sounds very good...I love this idea for cocktail recipes..bring it on!
The Lemon Drop is an excellent drink to start exploring how cocktails work and a good way to find what you like in a drink. A word of caution though: too sweet or too warm and this drink turns horrible.
I wrote a little thing about how to mix up a great lemon drop at home (not bartender needed), so if you can forgive the shameless plug, have a look: http://understandingcocktails.com/drinks/the-lemon-drop/
yeup and it is delicious!
I had this last night and made it myself! Loved it :]
