There's nothing we love more than hearing that something obviously bad for you has some previously unrealized health benefit. Even better when that something comes with a dose of nostalgia.
We're delighted to share with you, then, news of a
new report in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that suggests drinking milk flavored with cocoa might reduce inflammation, potentially lowering the risk of clogged arteries leading to heart attacks or strokes. The results are similar to recent findings
In an experiment conducted over two months in Barcelona, volunteers who drank chocolate-flavored skim milk twice a day had fewer markers of inflammation and higher levels of good cholesterol.

chocolate flavored skim milk... sounds a little iffy >.<
!!!! YES !!!!
cool!
... drinking one cup (250ml) of chocolate milk also has the entire daily amount of sugar a child is supposed to consume and it's being touted as healthy is only adding to the increase of diabetes in children.
I don't think sweet treats should be touted as health food. Don't get me wrong, I love my chocolate soy milk on occasion, but I do not buy into anything that says it is actually healthy for me.
HOORAY! <3 chocolate milk
:D
I don't think it's exactly a health food now, so calm down with the Nesquik.
what type of inflammation? b/c I had inflammation in my hip last month and I'm pretty sure if I drank chocolate milk it wouldn't have helped me recover faster...
moderation is key. but YAY - gotta love choco-milk.
Great as long as the sugar is cut down.
Good! I like it.
aww but i don't really like chocolate milk. :/
Interesting!
FUCK YEAH CHOCOLATE MILK!!
I LOOOOVE chocolate milk! :)
I think what they probably mean is unsweetened cocoa powder mixed with skim milk (which would not be sweet at all), as opposed to the sugar-packed premade nesquik crap you can buy in a gas station.
